This was an amazing experience. The family goes out of their way to welcome you and make you feel like family. The work can be strenuous at times, but it's only for a couple of hours at a time. Your volunteering definitely has an impact here. Lots of time to explore, share time with fellow volunteers, and learn about local culture. Lots of laughter, too, and interesting conversations! I loved staying with the extended family and appreciated their caring, curiosity, thoughtfulness, insight, and tasty food (right from the gardens).

I stayed on Rikki's family farm for four weeks, the farm end, it still wasn't long enough. The whole family is very welcoming, the farm food is tasty and freshly cooked every day, often with ingredients we harvested from the farm. The accommodation is really good, with comfortable beds and a bathroom in every room, all with Western toilets. I learned a lot about Nepalese farming, for example, harvesting rice and potatoes or planting garlic. In everyday life, you also have a great opportunity to learn more about Nepalese culture.

This volunteer experience is one of those that truly leaves a mark on your life, because it creates such strong bonds. I'm so grateful to Rikesh for opening his home to me. His mother and father (Mero Didi, Dai)are incredibly special people, his wife and son are wonderful, and I'll never forget his brother and his wife. Besides the beautiful farm, I learned so much for my future. They provided delicious food, a lovely place to sleep, and an incredible view of the Himalayas. To be honest, one week wasn't enough for staying at the farm but unfortunately I had already other plans and couldn't extend my stay. Everything was perfect , especially the food. I can't thank the family enough for their hospitality and their kindness. Big shoutout for the wedding ceremony, which I enjoyed very much :) I will definetely come back one day !

Ricky and his family are the most loving and caring family you could ever meet. They welcomed us with open arms and showed us true Nepali culture and their way of living. When we travel to Nepal next time we will definitely try to visit Ricky and his family again.

The three weeks we stayed at the farm with Ricky and his family was far better than we could've expected! They take you in as a family member with open arms and minds to make the stay as good as possible. We got to experience true Nepalese culture while living in this small village close to the locals. We learned about farming and being self sufficient, Nepalese traditions and family values. We were happy that there was around 10 other volunteers at the farm that we spent all days with, forming friendships that made our stay wonderful! If we visit Nepal again we will definitely come back :)

This is truly a magical place. Farm life the farm Himalayas. The family and community are so welcoming. I felt at home very quickly. The work is super reasonable and we worked at a very comfortable pace. The food is yum (mostly veg). I thought I was going to be the only volunteer but there were lots of volunteers there through workaway which was an awesome surprise. This place attracts great people who become as much of your family as the hosts. I loved it so much I'm going to end my Nepal trip back there in a few weeks. Top tier worldpackers.
