The work is easy and you even have the opportunity to see the entire island while you work. I also helped with SEO for the host blogs and it was really cool, Mo directed me well and I was happy to help with other topics. You also get a lot free drinks at the party. It was niceee!!

Exactly as described, basically you just ride around on a scooter Monday Tuesday and Wednesday from 1pm-9pm, handing out flyers for the nightclub & then you attend the party & collect reviews. They give you a list and you take photos at every spot. You should be very comfy on a scooter due to the steep hills in the host Pha Ngan! It's a fun time! Downside is there's not really a kitchen, just a counter with a toaster & kettle but no fridge or microwave & food can be $$ on the island but a good Worldpackers overall! I'd recommend staying for 2-3 weeks. Thanks to Mo & everyone for a good time!!!

A very fun experience! You socialise a lot and have a lot of time to explore the island. Also now there are 6 beds in the volunteers room so should be even more fun :)) The host gave me a very good explanation about everything when I arrived, it was very nice! And I could easily text him whenever I had any questions

The whole experience is very nice since you have the opportunity to explore the island while working but pretty exhaustive on the last day when you work for almost 12h and that makes no sense. The host (Mo) wasn't too social, caring or flexible with some situations . The house also needs to be fixed in many aspects. Sleeping in a bed for 2 weeks where you can feel all the bed springs wasn't the most comfortable at all. I would recommend going only if you can handle the whole situation.

I am sorry to hear you didnt had the experience you expected. I wish you would have told me during your two weeks here, I am sure we would have found ways to make it better. However, you never had to work 12h on any days of your stay here. Its 7h + 1h break for 3 days and the work at the event is optional in case you want to join it. In fact you only worked half day on your arrival, also not the day you didnt feel well and had much more breaks then 1h :)

Taking care of the volunteering is a small part of my job, I wish I had more time to be with you guys but I have to manage a whole nightclub including promoting, social media, construction& maintenance, staff, curating the events and many more daily tasks which keep me busy 8h a day, 6 days a week. Luckily I still had enough time to help you when you damaged the vehicle of a local guy during you free time. I guess this volunteering project is more for independent, mature travelers who enjoy to stay in a more private place instead of a 12bed dorm like in other hostels. So far no volunteer complained about the beds, but I will ask the new ones if theres anything we can improve. I am always happy for feedback. The second bathroom downstairs got fixed on the day you checked out, maybe you didnt notice :)

Thank you for your feedback and safe travels.

Mo was super welcoming when I arrived and made it feel very safe there. The hours agreed however were not respected. For the two weeks I was there, we were supposed to each work 5 days in total. (Mo gave everyone an extra day off for good work). Some volunteer left early so the work schedule was switched around. Mo told me 1 hour before a shift that now I have to work. On the last work day (work day 5), I got injured on the bike and had half a day off cause I couldn't walk. Mo said I had to leave 5 days earlier than the agreed check out date because of “my work hours”.

Everyone knew that the event day is the most important day for promotion. You decided to make privat plans for that day, knowing your team wasn’t full without you and without communicating with me. Then I asked you to come to work please and just a little after the beginning of your shift you got “injured”. I was worried so I told you to take the rest of the day off, even told you to take one of the bikes for free because you said you couldn’t walk. Imagine how surprised I was seeing you walking through the house the same evening like nothing ever happend… I offered you then to make up the open hours for your stay with additional tasks or to check out early. You had the choice and you decided to leave.

The work was straight forward! You're basically assigned a checklist of stops to hand out OXA party flyers, providing regular checkins with the group chat + attend the party to gain reviews from partygoers. The job can be tiring as you're in the sun for many hours a day driving around, so remember your electrolytes & get a good night's rest so you feel good for your shift! Thank you Mo for teaching me how to ride a motorbike & for being receptive to feedback! I appreciate your encouragement and for helping me step out of my comfort zone!

Overall I enjoyed my experience with Oxa however I thought there could be some slight improvements when it comes to volunteer safety. Helmets weren't encouraged (had to ask) and other volunteers didn't know how to drive so I took on extra responsibility. The experience was great to meet likeminded travellers and work on my tan!! Overall I had a great time!

Generally i enjoyed my experience with oxa! around the full moon party you might be expected to work a bit more but other than that it's pretty chill work for 3 days a week and the rest of the week is free. we do get a lot of free drinks at the parties but after that you're expected to drive yourself back home on the scooter so you have to keep that in mind. overall if you like parties and are a social person then i'm sure you'll love it!

I really enjoyed the overall experience here in the host! I worked with and met really cool people from all over the world and I would not change doing this experience because of it. However, there are many things that could be improved to make this more enjoyable for other volunteers in the future. (the AC, using the bikes on our days off). Mo was a good host and this was a cool unique experience if you like to party and get free entry and drinks to the host party. The work is easy but be prepared for long shifts in the sun. Good experience overall.
