The hostel is amazing, it is a minute away from the beach and close to everything. The dorms are good, the common area is very inviting and the kitchen is great too. I had an amazing time with the other volunteers, and with the guests. The host Seyd always gives good energy and I am glad I got to work with him. I would recommend the experience to anyone.

I had a lovely time at the hostel, a nice little break from moving all the time while being able to spend a lot of quality time with the manager Saed who I will definitely miss. The work was really chill, one or two hours tops, and I could spend the rest of the day exploring the island, meeting people from the hostel or just relax and enjoy the beautiful hostel. I would definitely recommend this volunteering especially if you're looking to slow down for a little while, while still meeting some people and having the chance to get to know Saed , who will certainly share everything he knows

VERY HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. The manager Syed showed up late to train so I was left to the wolves trying to reach someone to help me till one of the other volunteered came on his day off. When he did show up he told me I should start cleaning when I thought I was supposed to be working the desk. Then when I started cleaning he was very rude and impatient and criticized everything I did. When he fired me he did me a huge favor. What was I working for? A nights rest in a crowded dorm on a squeaky aluminum bed and a piece of bread with jelly he passed off as a breakfast. When

i think you giving mislead information as you were angry because of the incident. (she was accused stealing by other guest who mistakenly put in her bag. she was proven innocent )
Melinda was not physically fit for the task , even for simple cleaning task she didn't properly do it .

The work schedule was respected and the tasks were not difficult, the volunteers were really nice too. The only problem I had is that the manager is not really here and didn't explain anything when I arrived. The volunteers who were there during my stay agreed that the vibe was strange when he was there because he is not very friendly and it made us very uncomfortable. He also complained about everything volunteers did whereas everyone were doing there best (it was our first cleaning volunteering) and we felt that his messages were a bit aggressive. Maybe there was not enough communication.

When someone do mistakes they admit and learn from it . That is how to learn about responsibility. I do believe that you never agree that you done something irresponsible =) I am able to contact by phone any times of the day if you need any help but you never contact me once. All the other volunteer had no problems with the communication. It is the attitude make a person.

My first work exchange and I stayed here for two weeks. I really had a good time working here. Short shifts, so I could explore the island with my boyfriend who didn't work. Abu gave us a lot of tips where to go and I had a lot of fun with the team overall. Playing every night monopoly was a blast. I can recommend this..

Volunteering for Syed was a great experience, he is kind and chill but you don't see him that often. The tasks were easy and the shifts were short. I had lots of free time to go explore the island. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Beds were creaky but you got use to the sound.

I stayed for two weeks you have four hour shifts every day, 6 days of the week, I was able to see a lot of Langkawi on my day off. Once the job was done I also was able to chill out, which h really valued. Abu is a font of information and super helpful!

The hostel, the work and the hours are ok, but despite all this I can't recommend it, since unfortunately due to a very bad experience I had with a volunteer, a Moroccan pervert, who had unpleasant habits and with whom we had to share a room), I realized that the host Abu, chose to dismiss the serious incident in favor of the other volunteer demonstrating his unprofessionalism and we didn't even receive consideration and the respect that was due.Feeling disrespected for the mere fact of being women and for our own safety, we opted accept his invitation to leave the place before the agreed day.

I have taken necessary action by allowing you to sleep in the guest room. I have also warn the guy about the behavior and he is ready to moved out. During your and your friend stay i believe there is no harm happen to both you. We are clear of everything what happen and i do believe you agree with the solution which is all recorded in our personal chat.

The work and tasks match the description, the schedule is respected and the place is calm and relaxed. The volunteer room has air conditioning, the only bad thing is that the bunk beds make a lot of noise and that is detrimental to the rest of people who are light sleepers like me. Unfortunately we had to leave the experience days before because something quite unpleasant and disgusting happened with another volunteer and we did not receive the support and way of acting that Abu should have had as a host. I'm very sorry about that, because I expected much more from him in this case.

As for your case, i already talked to the guys which you had problems with to resolve the problems. In addition, i let both of you to sleep in the guest room to avoid any discomfort. I do believe i have take action on the matter arise .Sorry, I do not have any magic power or spell to changes people attitude or behavior =)
