Program Details

We're six years into restoring a centuries old finca in Andalucía. We didn't fully appreciate the scale of the task when we started!

We're now looking for a finca manager who is happy to be proactive, get stuck in and help! Every day is different. There is always something that needs to be done. It could be helping with our 300+ trees one day, caring for our animals, preparing the guest accommodation, or helping with a maintenance or building problem.

Our manager will also crucially be responsible for evolving and growing our volunteer package, and this will entail managing the volunteers from application through to staying with us and their departure.

In 2026 we will begin to welcome digital nomads to our finca as we also plan to begin hosting weddings in 2027. You will be central to the plans for both of these exciting next stages at Finca Martina.

In return, we offer a comfortable well equipped single room with work area, en suite shower and toilet, and fully equipped outdoor kitchen. With everything going on, we can't provide food, but you've got a great space to make your own.

We can accept arrivals on Friday and Saturday mornings or afternoons only, and we can collect you from Casarabonela, which has a direct bus service to/from Málaga a few times per day.

We will take you to the supermarket on the way to the finca so you can stock up - and of course we can provide a lift to the supermarket.

Activities & Shift

First and foremost we are flexible. Part of what you will be doing will be daily routines such as feeding the animals, checking our water supply, housekeeping tasks and preparing our holiday rentals for new arrivals as well as making sure that our guests are comfortable throughout their stay. The more strategic part of what you will do will be to lead on growing our volunteer project and this will involve developing accommodation for our volunteers, deciding where on our land they would be most comfortable and project managing their creation of this space. Once it is ready, you will be responsible for all aspects of leading the program and all that it achieves! You will be strategically involved in running our digital nomad offering in 2026 and preparing for our first weddings in 2027.
