Myrna and Paco are the best hosts I could imagine. They are really sweet and loving for everyone and the animals. They try to help as most animals and people as they can and they expect nothing back from it. They take you on trips, help you learn Spanish (or English or Dutch or German or French since Myrna knows almost every language haha), cook delicious food and are always in a good mood. The work is easy and fun since you're around all the animals and the place where they live is very nice. You have your own room and They even have a jacuzzi ;)

Linde is a very nice person, always there to help you even when she never did it. Everybody closed her in their hart. The animals miss her really, so hopely she can come back one day.

My first worldpacker experience and it was better than I could dream of. The place is perfect if you love animals, and a simple life. Many things to do around the shelter (tracks, beaches) (but you need to enjoy walking or biking). There are quite some bus to move around to. Ann is a wonderful person, the great mother of all the animals living here. There is always something to do here and the work will make you feel useful. Hygienic conditions might make some people uncomfortable, but it makes your body stronger. Definitely recommend and will come back.

I had a great time there! I felt welcomed and everyone was extremely friendly. The work was pretty easy and I got to connect with the animals and meet locals. The place is beautiful! But I wouldn't recommend this to everyone. You work with animals and share a room with them. So if you need everything to be 100% clean, this is not for you. But if you don't mind the dog hair everywhere, I would definitely recommend this experience. I absolutely loved it and I am thinking about going back sometime.

This experience was profound, in one week I accessed emotions that I didn't even know existed inside me, there were moments that I was afraid of the dogs, but both Anne and the other Volunteers made me feel safe and how tô adapt wiht the animals, they really are like a big family, When I thought about giving up, I watched Anne and saw her love overflowing for those animals and it pushed me to want to help more, then I gave in little by little and it transformed me, no matter where I was, I was surrounded by the love of those animals. Apart from the fact the nature is amazing.

If you're ready to get your hands dirty and put in some work to help out some caring people and lots of animals that desperately need the help, then this is the place for you!!! Anne truly cares about the animals and it's evident that she prioritizes their well-being and helping them in whatever way she can, even with limited resources. She really appreciates any and all help that volunteers can give and was sure to show her appreciation! This place totally needs the help so if you're looking to be surrounded by animals and want to help them, I definitely recommend volunteering here!

The experience was really great thanks to the host and the animals, that were truly amazing. Anne was always availabe, kind and really open to guarantee you experiences that were outside the work tasks. Caring for the animal and living around them was really rewarding and healing and you will be able to enjoy them fully during you stay. As a suggestion I would say to bring your own sleeping bag, the accomodation is handled with the limited funding that the host has so it is best to carry with you your own towels, sheets or sleeping bag.

3 ⭐ Because I was not satisfied with living in an unclean room and the food, be prepared for a minimum food budget for volunteers, also be prepared to see mice in the room, it is difficult to sleep in a room without headphones because you can hear dogs barking. For me, it was an experience of a lifetime, the work is not hard. If you don't have a car, be prepared for a long bus ride in zigzags. But thank you for accepting me and treating me well, the animals are very nice 🐕❤️thank you😇

Ich habe mich herzlich aufgenommen und sehr wohl gefühlt. Es stand ein eigenes Zimmer und immer leckeres frisches Essen zur Verfügung, es wurde auf meine Vorlieben geachtet. Paco und Myrna sind tolle Menschen, die man leicht ins Herz schließen kann! Genauso mit den Tieren die einfach alle wundervoll sind. Die Aufgaben sind füttern und sauber machen, was man schnell erledigen kann, sonst kann man sich natürlich noch viel mehr um die Tiere kümmern und tolle Erfahrungen sammeln. Es fiel mir schwer Abschied zu nehmen und ich möchte wieder kommen - auch um meine Katze zu adoptieren! Vielen Dank!

Mi 1ª experiencia no pudo ser mejor.Myrna y Paco, personas maravillosas, cuidan con amor a perros y gatos rescatados.Me recibieron como en casa, Myrna me buscó en el aeropuerto y me ofrecieron todo, incluso un coche para recorrer la isla.Coincidí con Laura, encantadora, por las tardes hicimos excursiones juntas.Tareas simples: limpiar, alimentar y jugar con perros y gatos.Habitación y baño bien equipados.Lugar tranquilo, rodeado de naturaleza.Recomiendo a los que quieran aportar su granito de arena ofreciendo amor a estos animalitos. Imposible no enamorarse: Gorda, Bosco, Vic y todos en el ♥

Primera experiencia con worldpackers y no puedo estar más contento. Personas encantadoras que viven por y para los animales. Sitio acogedor y muy buen rollo. Necesitan mucha ayuda y reciben a todo el mundo con los brazos abiertos.
