This is a great experience, we stayed for 6 weeks and really enjoyed the work - we got the chance to meet and interact with local people and were able to share parts of our culture! I would recommend however the apartment that is provided can be cramped if fully booked, and the AC currently isn't working

I was there for a very short time, only 4 days, but Oscar was a very kind and understanding host! I left due to personal reasons and he was very understanding with me and willing to work with me to adjust dates. All the other travelers were nice as well and welcomed me as I came in ^^

It was about an hour away from seoul but if you don't mind commuting then it shouldn't be a problem. The biggest issue was the beds. The mattresses are thin and the bars poke at your body, the creak a lot, and its held together by zip ties. Other than that the nearby area has good cafés, restaurants, and shops.

Really cool experience and you meet so many locals at the host and and learn alot about Korean culture. Oscar the host is friendly and accommodating. The location is convenient to public transport and nearby some nice parks. If you are wanting to explore central Seoul alot note that it is approx 1 to 1.5 hours on the train to central seoul. But the host also has plenty locally to experience. Thanks Oscar!

The work is really simple and provides lots of immersion with locals- everyone at the host is kind and friendly! The host Oscar is very laid back and hands off for the bulk of the experience. The accommodation can be very crowded with 7 people living together at once but they are usually all very cool people and easy to make friends with! As the other reviews mention, yes the beds are broken and if you are a sensitive sleeper I do not recommend this accommodation because it can be quite noisy at night and not very well temperature controlled. I do not regret it at all however!

Such a great experience the host!! :) The hours are respected and the schedule is flexible. Volunteers sleep in an apartment, maximum 7ppl for 2 rooms. The accommodation is great, provided some basic food. Keep in mind that it takes an hour/ hour& half to get to seoul, so it can be challenging if you want to do most things there. The only downside is the beds are broken so it's hard to have a good sleep.

The work is good and is exactly what you expect it to be. 5:30-9:30, 2 days off per week, and most days you don't work all hours. It is close to the metro, laundry is free, and the location is nice. The only downfalls I would say are the beds, and communication on arrival. For the most part you can overlook these things but it definitely takes some time to get settled in well. Also food provided is eggs, toast and ramen. Just to be clear, I do recommend the experience. Everyone was super friendly, it is a great way to get to know the locals and they often invite you to hang out sometimes!

Bad living conditions, great people and space to work. The bad: Space is too small for 7 people. Bed frames are held barely together with zip ties, the mattress is incredibly thin, the AC doesnt work, food is pretty basic (eggs and toast/ packaged ramen). Also if you are sensitive to smoke a lot of korean people smoke in the area. The good: Oscar is an incredible person to work with. He is calm, understanding and friendly. A lot of the times the langauge the host was my favorite part of the trip. The people you talk with are also great. If living conditions are improved instant 5 stars!

Pros: The work is peaceful and pleasant. Talking to locals also allows you to learn more about the culture and make friends. The maximum working hours are 4 hours per day, allowing you to visit other places. The apartment is well located and close to public transport. Cons: The apartment needs urgent maintenance. The beds are broken and the doors don't lock. You should be aware that the cleanliness and organization of the place will depend on the common sense of the volunteers, as there is no control or supervision by the host. Full meals are not provided.
