My experience at the hostel was just amazing. I had the opportunity to meet many people coming from different parts of the world and l improved my English a lot. Kenny is an amazing manager, always ready to help you and making sure to provide a cozy and welcoming environment. The working schedule is respected and not difficult at all. You have to be ready to be surrounded by nature, also because reaching other places is kinda difficult so you will be spending most of your days at the hostel or nearby. I really recommend this experience💗

What a perfect experience! From the moment I got here I felt welcomed and cared about. The landscape is absolutely stunning. Kenny is a really fun and great manager. Hours are respected and often you finish early. Since you're kind of in the middle of no where, we spent most days just watching TV together as a group of volunteers or playing board games. It was such a great break to have in the middle of long term travel. The work is super easy and straightforward and the people are great. Could not recommend this enough as long as you are aware that there truly isn't much to do in the area.

This was my first volunteering experience, and it was absolutely amazing. If you love nature and a friendly, chill vibe, this is the place to be. Kenny is such a great manager, always making sure everyone feels at home and has the best time. The tasks are simple and way more easier when you do them as a team, and I got super lucky with awesome volunteers and meeting cool guests. I'll never be able to thank the hostel enough❤️

I loved my stay at the hostel! It was an enriching experience, which allowed me to meet lots of lovely people. Naseem and Kenny are two great managers, welcoming, caring and attentive. The work isn't hard and there's plenty of time to explore the beautiful surroundings of Connemara. I highly recommend this place ;)

My stay at the hostel was a really great experience! Naseem is a very kind host and the work is quick and easy. The nature surrounding the hostel is also stunning, though I would definitely recommend bringing some waterproof shoes. :) In general, I would definitely recommend this place for a calming and fun stay, spending time in nature and making some new friends (and seeing lots of sheep)!

I spent a month at the hostel and it was a great experience. Every morning I woke up with a postcard view, with mountains and endless skies. The staff was welcoming, kind, and always ready to help. Tasks were well-organized, giving time to relax or explore. I met amazing people and shared fun moments. I recommend this experience to anyone who wants to take a break from the busy world. It's a place that welcomes you, teaches you to slow down, and helps you enjoy the little things. I left with a full heart, and a part of me is still there, in those quiet mountains.

The hostel is a wonderful place ! I stayed there for a month in April. As the tents were not out, we only had to do some housekeeping in the main hostel (around 30 beds). Officially, we work from 10am to 3pm with a lunch break - but we worked less a lot of times. Naseem is a really good manager who also understands our point of view as volunteers. I got free accommodation in a private dorm with other volunteers, with a private cosy area and bathroom. The fresh bread and flabjack for breakfast are delicious. Keep in mind that it is very remote, close to a busy road ! Bring waterproof shoes :)

I had a great stay at the hostel, Naseem is lovely and really wants the volunteer to have a good experience. Unfortunately in the beginning I was the only volunteer and that was not a great time because the place is actually really isolated so I was not having fun. But Naseem did her best to find other volunteers as quick as possible and when other volunteers arrived, my mood changed completely. This place really brings a family feeling and is definitely a safe place. I really recommend, but maybe march is the least nice month to stay there because it's so quiet. Thank you for everything!

I stayed at the hostel for one month and it was an amazing expirience. You feel very welcomed since the first day you arrive and you quickly adapt to the enviorment. The tasks demanded are not that difficult, so on your free time, you can disconnect and enjoy its beautiful sorroundings. I highly recommend the hostel if you enjoy nature.

One of the best experiences of my life, I just left and can't wait to go back. the hostel has been like living a dream to me. The lake, the mountains, the sheep, the friendships I made, the beers!! just perfect. Yes it's remote, but if you enjoy being surrounded by nature and hiking it is the right place for you. Clifden is close by and you can go back to Galway during free days. The work is manageable and fun - we mainly did prepping for the upcoming opening season. Staff even has its own area, with a cozy living room, bathroom and bedroom. Kitchen is huge. I truly love this place ❤️
