The experience

Estamos localizados en un pueblo del Eje Cafetero Colombiano conocido por sus aguas termales, montañas nevadas, paisajes caféteros y una excelente vida nocturna.

Las diversas actividades se alternan entre la limpieza de habitaciones y el hostel en general, el servicio en la recepcion, preparacion de algunos alimentos, alimentar al gato y cuidar de las plantas.

What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.


What you get

1 day off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Requirements

Intermediate Spanish or Beginner English

Between 20 and 45 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Task 1: Answer questions through whatsapp about the available rooms, share information about the location and congratulate when a book process is successful.

Task 2: Check in and check out: check in process consist in give the welcome to the guests, provide information about the hostel and the main tourism activities (part of the earnings from selling tours is for the volunteer ;) ) Filling the check in document with physical ID is also important and easy. Check out process consist in making sure the guest paid everything they consumed, they give the keys back and very important, making sure the gest receive a digital message with links to provide the comments of their experience at the hostel.

Task 3: along the day sometimes it's necessary to organize one or two things that messy guests leave somewhere, also when there are only two rooms occupied the task will be organize them.


Activities & Shift

Basicamente es apoyar las tareas de limpieza y/o mantenimiento generales del hostal, el tendido de camas, alimentar al gato, dar amor y regar las plantas, apoyar el area de recepción dando la bienvenida y despedida a los huespedes, colaborar con la preparación de algunos alimentos de forma esporadica.


Rules

The most important rule of the hostel is respect each other, if somebody does not respect somebody will be asked to leave the place.
Music in shared rooms is not allowed and at the mini bar is only allowed up to midnight.
Visit at the volunteers room will be accepted or denied in an agreement with the manager.
The agreement of ours of volunteering has to be respected, as it will show the hostels seriousness.
