The café is a nice place and the people there are friendly! The accommodation is at a nearby hostel next to the Plaza de Armas which was a great location. In general, it is a good place to volunteer but I feel like the communication about the tasks/expectations could be better as I felt lost at first - however, it got better and I managed to figure things out. It was fun creating content for Instagram :)

I spent one and a half months with Sauro and the team of mi.the host. What I probably liked best was that the café is a meeting place for travellers and locals. The same applies to the hostel in which I stayed (it was rather quiet than a party hostel). Thanks to the great team at mi.the host, I very quickly felt at home in beautiful Arequipa. I started my experience with a very rustic knowledge of Spanish, but would recommend that future volunteers have an intermediate knowledge (btw, there were no professional spanish classes). Thanks for all the effort and the unforgettable experiences <3

Super nice experience at the rooftop of the host. Sauro and Ybeth are super friendly, sweet and will make you feel like at home. I've leaned a lot about coffee and chocolate. So happy and glad wit my experience.

Muito boa experiência, o trabalho super tranquilo e em algo que eu gosto de fazer que é a produção de conteúdos. Arequipa é uma cidade muito linda e tranquila, pude conhecer com calma e descansar bastante. A experiência com o Workshop de cacau, sem dúvidas foi a melhor!

Realmente disfruté mi voluntariado con Sauro. Es un hombre increíble que cambió su carrera para hacer algo que le apasiona y que ayuda a la comunidad de la que proviene. Ayudé en su bar de karaoke, conocí a mucha gente local y mejoré mi español. Tuve mucho tiempo para visitar la ciudad (que es hermosa) y también pasar tiempo en su cafetería.

La experiencia de trabajar en el centro era definitivamente única. Tuve la oportunidad de participar en talleres de chocolate, aprendí mucho sobre el producto. Las chicas que trabajan en la cocina son un amor, Sauro, el dueño es una muy buena persona. Lo único que tienes que tener en cuenta es que te alojan en el hostel, no en la casa del afitron. Durante los turnos de la tarde hace muchísimo frío:((
