Program Details

We're looking for a long term worldpacker for at least a month, but preferably longer, to do a bit of housework, walk our two boisterious young dogs and feed the cats whilst I sit in front of my easel and concentrate on what I'm doing there, and Steve gets on with day to day admin and the other stuff he enjoys.

It's not arduous work. But it is important for the upkeep of our lovely home.

In return for your patience, sense of humour and enthusiasm we will provide a lovely room and bathroom. We will treat you as family and take you with us on shopping trips, socialising with our friends and enjoying the local music and bar scene.

All meals are provided. You are welcome to share our living space with us in your spare time and there is an art studio and library that you can make use of too, along with basic gym equipment and a bike you can borrow. There are some great walking routes in the local area if you enjoy hiking.

Activities & Shift

We will ask you to be flexible in the hours you help but we will never ask you to help more than 5 hours a day. 5 days a week. If we ever do ask you to do more we will come to a fair arrangement.

You maybe asked to walk our two dogs at least once during the day. We will ask you to keep on top of the housework - hoovering/dusting/ for us and to spend some time working in the garden. We will give you a list of jobs that need doing on a weekly basis and work out a timetable with you on your arrival.

This might suit someone with an online job that can be done outside your working hours - as long as your priority is with your worldpacker role. And we are willing to be flexible to a point and as long as it is previously agreed with us.

Rules

No smoking.

We provide your breakfast and lunch and will cook you a lovely dinner every night. and we like to make sure that you're not left hungry at mealtimes but, if you need more, we're happy to take you to the local supermarket so you can buy your own stash of snacks and beers!

No throwing sticks or toys for our dogs. Sticks are dangerous for dogs.

Please respect our home, do what we ask you to do to look after it, and put stuff back where you found it.

That's all!
