The hostel is very well located and the place is quiet. Gaby prepared local food for us and it was very exquisite! The tasks are easy and you have time to go for a walk and explore the city, ideal if you are a tourist.

The host was a nice person but her facilities need huge improvement. I was sent to another hostel, not a problem. But the hostel had bed bug issues & I wonder why I was sent there. 1st night I had itching & next day found a bed bug on the mattress. The host gave an irresponsible response to my request of shifting hostel as I was afraid of the infestation & bites. Another volunteer had very bad bites & scars all over her & it was not treated for weeks. the host had only done general cleaning to address the problem. The hostel lacked in hygiene & cleanliness. The bedding was substandard. I left.

I was deeply disappointed with Rubys work, she arrived earlier as we agree, than she asked 2 days off, and the 3 day without saying nothing just left. I never had such a bad experience with volunteers. I think she really dont wanted to help, i dont reccomend her.

It was a blow-minded experience for me. I have met many people, practiced English and lived the experience of being a host. I really enjoyed it and had fun. The hostel is small and basic, which implies the duties are easy but all of them depends on the volunteers as there are no extra workers. The breakfast was good as it was brought based on our demand. Gabriella, the owner, is very kind and relax. She gives you the freedom to work at our own rhythm (taking into account the check in & check out timetables).

It was such a nice experience. It wasn't mentioned here, but Gabriella bring us some homemade traditional Hungarian food and I really appreciate it. I already miss Budapest. The hostel is in very central place, so a lot of museums and galleries are close. And there was time for everything. I was volunteering, working my remote job and exploring Budapest. The interned was very good too, by the way.

Amazing place and experience I had one of my best experiences here in comeback packers my host Gabriella was always very kind and helpful with me and the staff , I highly recommend come back packers !!!

Me gusto mucho mi estadía en el hostel. Las tareas eran sencillas y faciles de hacer. Uno se acostumbra despues del primer. Respetaron mucho las horas de trabajo y dias libres flexibles. Zsolt y Gabi, fueron muy amables y siempre dispuestos a ayudar. 😁. Ademas que no hay pierde conociendo la ciudad hungara, me encantó😁

La experiencia fue increíble, tuve oportunidad de estar con otros voluntarios latinos y eso hizo que la estadía se sintiera como un hogar, hice muy buenos amigos, Gabriela es muy amable y siempre esta atenta a lo que podamos necesitar, el trabajo no es nada complicado y siempre hay tiempo para poder convivir con los huéspedes y amigos, definitivamente me gustaría regresar

Tuve la oportunidad de ser voluntario en el Black Dog Hostel y fue una experiencia muy buena. Gabriella es muy amable y flexible con los turnos. Recomiendo este voluntariado, ya que permite interactuar con los huéspedes y mejorar el nivel de inglés. Además, el ambiente con los otros voluntarios es genial. Durante mis tres semanas en el hostal, tuve 2 días libres por semana, lo cual me dio tiempo suficiente para explorar Budapest y las ciudades cercanas. Las tareas eran sencillas. Compartimos habitación con los huéspedes, y aunque los colchones podrían mejorar, te acostumbras rápido.
