We had such a great time in alvor! Christina made us feel welcome and the work was totally fine aswell! The work is mostly cleaning and was around 3h a day but that depends which shift u get, there a longer ones aswell. The house we lived in was well equipped and nice, even had a pool. The other option for the volunteers to stay in is not as good equipped tho, only has a microwave to cook in. Alvor is a nice town, not too big so the beaches are not too crowded. There are some options to have drinks but no night clubs All in all we had a really good time, thank you Christina for having us ?

Alvor is a very beautiful place and the other volunteers were very kind and warm. We had a good time after working. The place i had to stay was horrible, it was unhygienic and i had to sleep in a room with a 40 year old man in a room. Two nights i was alone with him. There was no stove, so i couldn't cook. In my perspective Christina saw us as cheap workers and not as people. There were so many rules.

At Alvor Ardemar, I learned a lot about my capacity. I was assigned to the kitchen, working about 5 hours daily, mainly preparing the buffet and cleaning, which was challenging due to the extensive areas covered by one person. There was an imbalance compared to room cleaners, who often finished earlier. Despite this, the experience was beneficial, especially for improving my English and Spanish, thanks to the diverse, multicultural volunteer group. I cherish the memories and the rewarding time I spent there ! So yeah as my first experience, I would recommend it.

I really enjoyed my experience it's a nice peaceful environment. Christina was a great host who was welcoming and kind. The work is not too difficult and afterwards you can go to the beach.

We had a great 3 weeks in Alvor! Our time was made even better by the other volunteers! My work mainly consisted of work in the garden doing a mix of tasks which were physical and hot and on busy days I assisted with cleaning. Our accomodation was in a house about a 20 minute walk out of town, the accomodation was clean and comfortable, had good wifi and also had a pool for us to use! We would usually find out what time we were starting the day before however Cristina was accomodating if we needed a different start time. If you have any questions feel free to shoot me a message :)

We had a great time! Alvor is a cute town with atmosphere. The work was cleaning of guest house rooms and common areas. Work hours were always respected and Cristina was flexible and accomodating with start times and which day we got off. The best part was spending time with the other volunteers.

The experience was good. The work varied between gardening and working in the guesthouse. However, some tasks seemed unnecessary and it felt at times as though the host may try to fill your obligated 5 hours per day even if there wasn't an awful lot to do. I would also say that the experience was made by being with other volunteers more than the actual work itself. I was also only told what time I would be starting the night before and I was rarely told what I would be doing. This made it hard to prepare for the days work. I did enjoy the experience but communication could be improved.

We had a really great time in Alvor☀️ We stayed in the guest house in a room together with Fabio, which was comfortable:) It was a bit challenging since there was no kitchen (only a microwave), but it was okay for our short stay. The beach is really close and the town is lovely! We felt like sometimes the task could have been explained a little bit better but over time you get the hang of it. Overall we had a lovely time and would recommend volunteering here:)

This place is great! I enjoyed my time here and had a very relaxing stay. The people here are lovely and makes you feel very welcome. I found the work easy and the working hours were great I went in low season so there wasn't many guests or voulenteres, because of that I also ended up talking with Cristina about leaving a little early. She was very understanding and we agreed upon a departure date, so I ended up leaving after a week instead of two I would recommend going in low season for a more relaxing time, but i could imagine there would be more to do in high season Thanks for having me<3

Alvor is a little paradise on earth. Cristina and Joaquim are welcoming and nice people. The accommodations were more than enough and we had access to everything listed on the app. Overall the volunteers are amazing people and we're glad to have made really good friends during our stay. Working hours are always respected and the work is not too hard but physical. You must have in mind to be flexible because you usually don't know what work you'll be doing until the day of. Cristina is such a good host and we will have great memories of Alvor and how welcoming her and her family were to us.
