The experience

The property is a huge area, with great biodiversity within a preserved environment. Plant-based food / no alcool / no tabacco / no drugs stay
Permaculture activities (planting, sowing, upkeep, landscaping, etc.), harvesting and transformation of wild plants, fruits and veggies.
Olivier, your main host, being a trainer in plant-based and wild plant cooking can give you a lot of foraging and cooking tips.


What you offer

4 hours of help per day

Kitchen Hand: Help prepare, finish and serve meals.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Farming: Plant crops, sow seeds and help in outside tasks.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Tent: You will sleep in a tent at a camping site.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Get free drinks or beverages.: Drink up! Get free and tasty drinks for yourself.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.


Requirements

Intermediate English or Fluent French

Between 18 and 60 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

CALENDAR IS OPEN FOR A 2 WEEKS :

- FROM 27th august TO 3rd september : FRUIT AND VEGGIES HARVESTING, COOKING & TRANSFORMATIONS
- Fruit picking (figs, cornouilles, apples…) and vegetables (tomatoes, peppers…)
- Transformations (jams, coulis, compotes, dried fruits...)
- Autumn sowing in pots (kale, root vegetables, etc.)
- Mulching beds

- FROM 14 TO 21 of October : CHESTNUT ACTIVITIES (HARVESTING AND PROCESSING):
- Picking and sorting chestnuts
- Transformation into flour
- Making chestnut cookies and coffee
- Others: autumn vegetable plantings, vegetable harvests, weeding.
...
DURING YOUR FREE TIME, you will be offered a course to learn how to make homemade bread.


Sleeping in dorms or tents, depending of the room avaiblable/left.


Activities & Shift

4 hours of contributions per day are requested from WPers. Depending on your arrival time, you can also give a hand the first day. The schedule depends on the season and the weather. The idea is to alternate outdoor and indoor tasks depending on the weather and temperature so that you feel comfortable.


Rules

The food offered is plant-based and simple. The consumption of eggs and cheese is tolerated. Alcool, tabacco, drugs are not allowed.

During summer period, accomomadation in a tent or in shared non-mixed sleeping rooms (number of rooms is limited).
During spring and fall period, accomodation in shared non-mixed sleeping rooms.
Camping-car, vans... are welcomed.

A bathroom with a shower and toilets are always alvailable for you. The water is heated by solar panels.
