Program Details

We need help with feeding the horses, cleaning the stables and refilling the water buckets. You don't need to have any experience with horses or animals but it would be nice if you are not afraid of them and are used to physical work. Besides that there are different tasks like pulling out weeds, brushing horses, tacking up horses, taking horses to the walking machine, picking up rubbish around the farm or other tasks around the house. If you're interested, you can also help with school classes in the afternoon.
You get accommodation (a private or a shared room in the stable) and meals (lunch and dinner) and bread for breakfast. Toilet and shower are in another building. You would sleep on a mattress and we have bed sheets for you. The rooms also have aircon and heater inside. We also have a water supplier and coffee.

Activities & Shift

At 5.30am you would need to feed the horses (we normally take turns) which takes about 15 minutes.
Helping hours would be from 8am to 12am (8-10am cleaning stables and cleaning/refilling water buckets, 11am feeding hay and then sweeping)
You can also help in the afternoon from 2 to 6pm if you want to (2pm filling water buckets, 4pm feeding hay, 5pm feeding mill then sweeping and refilling water again).
You will work for six days a week (Tuesday to Sunday, and every second Monday you have to help too)
Working hours differ in summer due to high temperatures :The morning shift goes from 7am to 11am, but the feeding times stay the same. Afternoon shift starts at 4pm and ends at 8pm in summer.

Rules

Please keep in mind, that the farm is in the countryside and here will be insects and small animals. We would also like to let you know in advance that we are smokers.
For other things we would just like you to keep basic manners, than we can have a lot of fun. If you are vegetarian we will try to accommodate your needs, but we cannot guarantee the full authentic Korean food experience, as a lot of local food is with fish and meat.
