The experience

Lending Hope Academy is looking for volunteers who is willing to teach the kids and helping us finishing the school like painting. You can teach English, Math, Science, General Knowledge, Computer, Social, Arts and play with the kids. You will hike for an hour and 30mins heading to school from headquarters.


What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Child Care: Caring for, playing with, and spending time with children.

Teaching Sports: Teaching or assisting the host, guests, or local communities in practicing sports or physical activities.

Teaching Languages: Teaching a language to the host, guests, or local communities.

Additional fee required

Amount: US$ 5 Per day

Fee pays for: Benefits for travelers

Description: Volunteers contribute $5 per day to cover expenses for food, maintenance, or financing our organization.


What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Certificate: Get a certificate of completion after you finish your experience.


Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 18 and 40 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers


What's not included

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa


Program Details

Lending Hope Academy is a school from nursery to grade 1. As of now, there's a total of 15 students. The program is all about teaching and helping the kids and the school. Volunteers will teach with Nepali teacher or if there's no teacher you can teach on your own way. We need volunteers also doing construction to finish the school. Any help will be appreciated.

If you have any brilliant ideas to make it more better, we will be so glad to hear them and discuss about it.


Activities & Shift

Things to do:
7-8AM Wake Up Call
8-9AM Dal Bhat time(breakfast)
9-10AM Getting ready for Volunteering
10-1PM Doing the activities with the kids or teaching with Nepali teacher
1-1:45PM Lunch at school
1:45-3PM Resume with volunteering
3-4PM Go back to headquarters
4-8PM Free Time
8-9PM Dal Bhat time(dinner)
9PM Rest

During weekend its your free time. You can go to Besisahar or explore the hidden beautiful spots at Gaunshahar. You can do laundry or stay at headquarters.


Rules

- No candies and money for kids
- No Smoking and drinking liquor in front of the kids
- Girls should wear modest clothes and long pants
- Keep the dinning table clean
