My experience at the farm was so good! I met so many amazing people through this and we had the greatest time. The work was really easy and I really enjoyed it and after that you have lots of time to explore the surroundings with lots of beautiful nature Joy was so amazing. An amazing cook and she gives great advice. The only thing I was not amazed by, was that guiliano is a little close minded which sometimes was uncomfortable ( especially as a solo female traveller) All in all there is some improvement but it was a unique and good experience.

Dear Leni, when you are traveling, don't pretend to meet always people who think like you! Not everibody is the same that's why you are suppose to travel in order to know different cultures and characters.
A boomer 65 years old cannot be the same like your generation and besides we had different experiences in life. And next time, if you don't like somebody, don't just keep on smiling all the time but be courageous enough to disagree. GIULIANO

Working hours and days off were always respected; also the work was easy. Joy's food was incredible and vegetarian if you wanted to. It was a quiet and nice place to stay with amazing landscapes.

The farm is beautiful and provides amazing opportunities for hiking. The caravan I shared with my fellow volunteers was fine, the food was great and I learned a lot from the farm work. However, I left one week earlier than planned, because I felt very uncomfortable with the contact with the hosts and the way they spoke about people. In my opinion, it was disrespectful, humiliating, and sometimes sexistic. E.g., they made fun of their previous volunteers, and often mentioned that they were too weak (mainly girls). The situation really made me feel nauseous, so after a week I decided to leave

Giuliano and his kids were very nice, but when I arrived, he let me know that his wife was away and that I would have to cook. I was not told this beforehand. When I was given my room, it was very cold and dark. The bed was held together by tape, the walls were styrofoam and there was no lock on the door. The house was very cluttered and the shower was leaking and had a smell. I didn't want to leave them stranded, but could not live in these conditions. The town was beautiful, but unfortunately I had to leave after only one day.

The worldpacker staff can read the previous messages between me and Sky where I explained that the job consisted of cooking and cleaning ...the room was cold because miss Sky didn't know how to switch on a electric radiator, and it was dark because miss Ski didn't know how to insert a plug to turn on the lamp...the key of the door was lost by the previous volunteer and I didn't have time to change the lock, but outside the door there are two huge Saint Bernard dogs, and besides, in our small village in the mountains there are no criminals ...the shower was not broken, only was dripping because the previous volunteer hadn't closed the tap properly... miss Ski wants to volunteer but doesn't want to cook , clean and would just like to garden in the winter in the Alps when the fields are covered in snow?

The time there was as expected. I went during the winter so I did not get to work on the farm. I was also the only volunteer for the majority of my stay. If you enjoy skiing or snowboarding this is the perfect place to go in the winter. He was very nice and respects your time.

I stayed in the farm for three weeks. Our work consisted of picking berries and weeding. One weekend we even went to a market to sell the farm products, which was not very difficult since Giuliano was present the whole time and helped us out. The working hours were very respected. Joy's cooking was fantastic and it was always something to look forward to after work or during the evening. Giuliano is an old fashioned man and he really respects hard work. The hosts also encouraged and helped us discover the beautiful the farm. Let me know if you have any further questions!

Between meeting other volunteers, eating delicious food, and going on long hikes to breathtaking sights, there are so many things to enjoy in this beautiful place. Giuliano and Joy were the kindest hosts, the working hours are respected and generally flexible for us volunteers to choose which days we take off. The weather did fluctuate frequently between sun and rain as it was late in the season, but usually these fluctuations were relatively predictable and thus most rainy hours could be avoided. Absolutely would recommend this experience, I had a lovely time!

My stay at Giuliano and Joy's house and helping them with their daily work was a great one. I got to pick fruit, sell products at the local stalls and help with many other things. Work hours and work days respected. Comfortable accommodation, great company. Giuliano is a great teacher and has many funny stories he shared with us volunteers. Joy is an excellent cook, and was great to chat with when preparing dinner or working alongside her in the chiosco. Both of them are very hard working people. Area is stunning for hikes and walks. I recommend fully, it was a great experience to finish with

My stay at the farm was a life changing experience, challenging and unique. I learned countless things and improved my italian, working and sharing with the family and other fellow travellers. Joy is an incredible hardworking woman and an excellent cook and Guiliano knows how to challenge you to always do your best. These three weeks made me stronger and I am leaving filled with unforgettable memories. the farm is a magical place where you can explore the nature and mountains in your free time. It was a pleasure being there, out of my confort zone and a once in a lifetime experience.
