I left the lodge but the lodge won't ever leave from me. It's really a magical place in the middle of the woods, with an incredible view, peace and the owners are so nice people. It's literally an opportunity to connect with yourself and nature. There's no bathroom but for me showering at night under the moon's light was just magical. I hope I can get there anytime soon,it's an experience you don't want to miss. Thanks for the opportunity, the best volunteering ever!!!

Pimoz picked me up and took me to his the lodge. The view was amazing day and night, and you have it every day, that's crazy. You get a lot of free time. And a lot of fun, on the weekends we drank some beers with primoz and other hikers and get told incredible stories. The food there was very good. Beans and chicken soup every weekend and I loved it. You have to go there and experience it yourself, it's absolutely worth it.

I had a really great experience at the lodge Franko, the place is amazing if you wanna be in touch with nature, the view is credible, you meet a lot of local people and the work is chill. The only complicated thing is the bathroom and hygiene

The experience was okay but the description for World Packers needs to be amended. There is no running water and electricity is only available when it is sunny due to the solar panels. 'Free Laundry' also means hiking 30 minutes down the lodge to a pipe and washing clothes there. The work was as described however where you sleep there is many many bedbugs that had got very out of hand that a professional will need to fix rather than inexperienced volunteers. Will really need to fix! Also the lodge is an hour hiking without a pick up.

So many things... It was rough but s nice experience, when you live there in the lodge you learn to appreciate the daily things like a proper toilet or shower jajaja... Living in the lodge was better than I expected, the customers that go there are really nice and kind, always eager to have a good conversation about anything. It's really relaxing being there... And, like in the other commentaries; there is no shower, the toilet is a hole in the ground so I would say that this volunteering is for the brave ones and not picky persons. I met great people up there that I would like to see again.

This experience has great potential! It is very remote so take that into consideration, but it is great to get in touch with nature, hike Sarajevo, and talk to locals. I would 100% recommend but take into consideration the toilet is not necessarily a "drop" toilet, it is more a hole in the ground where you squat over, so sometimes it can be a bit smelly and you have to push the remains to the side to make room so the toilet can continue to be used and not overflow.

This was my first experience with work exchange and it was definitely an amazing one! Primož is an amazing guy who takes care of everyone, made me feel like I was back home in Brazil. I didn't work at the lodge, but had the opportunity of helping him build a new house, I had so much fun learning more about it with other volunteers. The work is not difficult and if you do your part you'll be compensated for that. As long as you respect and help everyone, clean after yourself and is not selfish and lazy, be sure you will have a great time with Primož like I had!

I had a great time at the lodge Franko. I would love to go back someday. Best views of Sarajevo and plenty of chance to meet locals and internationals. Just be sure to clean up after yourself and don't drink too much rakija and you'll get on smoothly :)

It was a great experience I had! This place was so incredible, beautiful, the animals, nature, everything was awesome! The job was pretty simple, you only have to take care about the clients who come there to drink something, rest or whatever. Take care about the house and keep everything clean and of course take care about the dog Dexter and the cat Max. The week days it's pretty chill and there's no much to do, the weekends it's more busy so you gonna have a lot of time to walk around the lodge. Keep in mind there's no bathroom there! It's great to keep in touch with the nature!

For me this was very good. I got to meet all kinds of people that are local, or traveling on the lodge. Very beautiful nature for hiking and the people are great. There's also a cat and dog to keep company on the slower days it's a nice balance of alone time and being around people
