Érika is the most hardworking person I have ever met and it shows in the atmosphere of the albergue.The hostel really has a character that is fun, modern and homely(even a little chaotic,which I loved).The entire time I was there I was wanting to contribute to the hostel; not as an obligation, but as a desire to see the hostel's image be maintained and realised as Èrika deserves. I'll miss this place it gave me some really fun and enjoyable moments which I will cherish.Qué tengas mucho éxito tía y hasta la próxima 😁😁.

In the hostel you will work with up to five other volunteers. Mostly native Spanish speakers, so advanced Spanish knowledge makes it easier to communicate with the others. Erika only has limited English skills and lack of interest to try to communicate with you in English. The work is between 2,5 and 3 hours six days a week and is easy to manage. You will have a shared room with one other volunteer. The rooms are small and only the one next to the reception has a window. Because of that the other rooms have mold, so you stuff can easily get mold to. The beach is a 30min walk.

Erika is running a second hostel at the same time, so she is not around much. The breakfast consists of toast, oats, marmelade, juice, coffee, milk, fresh cheese. There are two surfboards and one wetsuit at the hostel. The beach is half an hour by foot. Geeting to know all the pilgrims is really interesting, who are nearly all of the guests. The guests are mostly older people (average 40). The hostel has sufficient space (common area, garden) to find a calm place and has a quite relaxed atmosphere. San Vicente is a small town but has several supermarkets, restaurants etc. Beautiful nature!

My experience was great, well adjusted schedules, interesting tasks, I highly recommend it. It was a great interaction with the volunteers too, learned a lot. Loved every day in the hostel. Hasta un dia :)

I had a wonderful time at the hostel. Erika and Monica are wonderful and warm people and the other volunteers were super fun. The work, which consisted of either cleaning or reception, is very easy to learn and not difficult. the hostel is a lovely little town with lots of restaurants and cafes, and the beach is beautiful. There are bus connections to the nearest cities, although having your own car is an advantage. It was the perfect place for my first voluntary work and I highly recommend it.

In the hostel, I spent a marvillous time. Erica is a magnificent and sunny person. I felt really confortable. She treated me like a friend and this before I came. The tasks were easy (cleaning, reception) and I shared them with another volunteer who was also very charming. in addition, the place (Erica made a warm and welcoming place for the pilgrims) is very cosy and nice. I met everyday different people. I recommend the experience for the place but also to meet the phenomenal Erica. I practiced with her my Spanish better than I expected. Thank you so much Erica for everything. Love

Esta fue mi primera experiencia haciendo un voluntariado y digo enserio que lo tan calido y acogedor que no solo es el sitio, sino la gente, sobretodo por Nerea, Erika y Myriam, ademas de los otros voluntarios con los que compartí, el estar viviendo, compartiendo y pasando dias, tiempo de tu vida alli, incluso si son solo semanas, debo de decir que en su momento me estuvo marcando y lo sigue haciendo, extraño el aire de allí, pero ya con poder haber estado junto a ustedes, me ha ayudado un montón, ya les visitaré otra vez, tengo que si o si, volver a sanvi en un futuro, besazos gente :b

Me llevo esta experiencia guardadita en el corazón, llegar al hostel cambió por completo mi estadía en este lugar y me permitió no sólo conectar con personas muy aventureras sino también sentirme cómoda y en casa. El lugar esta ubicado en un lugar hermoso, recomiendo conseguir una bici para recorrer y conocer! Las tareas son simples, solo hay que tener voluntad de hacerlas bien y a gusto. Erika es una persona muy cálida, considerada y honesta, Nerea es un amor total y siempre ambas están dispuestas a ayudar, así como a generar espacios para compartir en equipo. Sobraron las risas ❤️ Recomiendo
