From the very beginning I felt so welcomed. I was nervous because of my level of spanish, but they made me feel so comfortable. The staff/host created such a loving environment. Everyday felt like a new adventure, the work wasn't difficult at all and the town is rich in culture

It was honestly one of the best experiences I've ever done. I stayed at the hostel for one month but it seemed sooo short. Erika and Nerea are so welcoming and kind. They do everything to make you feel at home. Whats more, doing this volonteering has helped me improving my spanish and my english! The area around the hostel is so nice, you can go surfing or hiking. Honestly I recommend to everyone who wants to live a fulfilling experience!!! Love yall ❤️❤️❤️

I had a truly wonderful experience at the hostel. Erika is a very welcoming and helpful host who makes sure you have a very comfortable stay there. I volunteered with three other people there who made the place feel like home. Also they pushed me a lot with speaking and improving spanish in the most positive way. Generally, the work is not hard and the hostel rather hosts pilgrims who do the camino de santiago. Therefore, you have the chance to meet a lot of different people each day and have enough free time to enjoy beautiful San Vicente. Muchas gracias por todo! 🥰

It was amazing! First about the location: if you love nature, small village's quiet vibe, hike in the mountains and surf the ocean, this is the place to be! Second, the team: I felt very lucky to meet them. Nerea, the receptionist and Erika, the owner are 2 wonderful persons. Very welcoming, kind, helping, with good and fun energy you're gonna feel at home within seconds. Then the tasks are super chill, about 3 hours maximum a day and easy to do. We have a small kitchen just for us, small rooms for the volunteers, 2 surfboards at disposal, breakfast and we are in the center. I recommend 200%!

The room me and another volunteer stayed in was a very small room within the room for the guests, without a window and the door didn't close. The living room is shared with the many pilgrims, so there's not a lot of privacy. The garden is a nice place to sit when the weather is good. The host does not try to bring the volunteers together. There's nothing arranged for the volunteers, no food, no games, plans, etc. There are surfboards to borrow, but it's about 30 min walk to the beach, so it's basically impossible to use them. Also, keep in mind that 99% of the guests are only staying one night

We're recieved in a room with bed bugs and the host knew it. we relief on that since on the next day would be a pest control. We had to disinfect our belongings but the whole situation could have been avoided. The tasks required were diferent from the WP announcement. again, we decided to relief on that and try to enjoy our time there but at some point we just felt unhappy enough to leave the expirience earlier, wich made us a sad because beside all that, Erika is good person. The main thing is that this is not a conventional hostel: is just a pitstop for pilgrins who need a one night stay.

En 5 días estaba el problema resuelto, os cambiamos de hostel, os invitamos a cenar, hicisteis algo dos días, no dió tiempo a hacer más, el esfuerzo fue al máximo por mi parte.

The calm and tranquility of the place are perfect. Being with people and being able to understand a little of why each person is there and understanding their vibe is rewarding. I would come back to this place a thousand times!

I absolutely enjoyed my time at the hostel. I got to know a bunch of really cool people from all kinds of places while living in an absolutely beautiful, albeit rather chill place. Erika is also a great host to whom it really matters that the voluntary workers are feeling good and enjoying themselves. I could not have asked for a better host. All in all, I can only recommend volunteering at the hostel. I would do it again if I had the opportunity!

While spending more than a month in the hostel, I improved my Spanish, got to know many great people and had a chance to travel all across Cantabria. Erika, the owner, is very sympathetic and the hostel is located in a small yet beautiful town. Your job will mostly consist of cleaning, sometimes helping at the reception, with enough free time to discover the charm of the north of Spain, surf and make memories for life, I wholeheartedly recommend! :) ❤️

I stayed at the alberge for about a little over month and i loved every minute of it! Erika is a great leader, who is always available to help shouldnit be needed. She takes everyones needs and wishes in to consideration, and treats you with respect and like a friend. The place itself is beautifull and calm, and just what i needed after Barcelona. If anything was negative, it is the fact that the guests only stay for one night, so your circle of friends will most likley be more or less limited to the volunteer group, but if you are lucky like me, they are all you need. I recommend this stay!!
