I had a very nice time at the host. I helped out in the kitchen for four weeks. So I worked all the time with Rodrigo - which was a lot of fun, Rodrigo is a very friendly and empathetic person, well organized with great cooking and explaining skills. From the beginning I felt very welcome by Betsa, Rodrigo and Rafart which was special for me. I could improve my Spanish, learned more about cooking, experienced the life in Solsona and the beautiful surrounding nature. With Betsa and Rodrigo I quickly felt at home. The apartment in which the volunteers live is simply but nice.

Solsona is a beautiful medieval small town, you can enjoy the cozy atmosphere and people with many opportunities to immerse into catalán culture and learn this place "the host" it's just to exchange cleaning or cooking for accomodation and food, the owner doesn't have trust in the volunteers, he always review the apartment and never is satisfactory the cleanning and duties in general my Expirience not was the best, but I got it stayed nad have a new job, thanks

If you love cooking, you will enjoy and learn a lot at this place. In the summers, the tasks may seem a bit tiring but fun at the same time. You also get an opportunity to meet volunteers from other countries too. Rodrigo and Betsa were really helpful in every way.

My experience at the host was mostly positive. Betsa and the other volunteers, were incredibly welcoming and supportive.The atmosphere is lovely, the town of Solsona is beautiful, and the people are very warm. Rafart, the host fulfilled everything promised in the volunteer offer. He is very dedicated to ensuring his bar runs smoothly and provides a comfortable place to stay. there were some challenges but all in all worked out, future volunteers should be aware and prepared to communicate their boundaries.

Solsona es una ciudad chiquita con ese tipo de encanto medieval que invita a la solitud; si buscas cómo lo hacía yo: un lugar para reflexionar, meditar, tener naturaleza, y luego gente linda es el lugar perfecto. Además en el anfitrión aprenderás recetas, por lo que si te gusta cocinar es un puntazo….. y conocerás al equipo y otr@s voluntarias, comerán y cenarán juntxs los días de trabajo…. Por lo que no estarás sol@. Las personas del pueblo también son súper amables, y en la casa tienes una habitación para ti solit@. Adicional: estaban remodelando parte del anfitrión 😃

Tenía un llamado en mi corazón en la zona de los pirineros y sur de Francia y cuando recibí la invitación en este voluntariado no lo dudé. Creo que siempre recibimos lo que necesitamos y si podemos recibirlo tal y con es...entonces podemos disfrutarlo. Y este es mi regalo. Este servicio ha sido el medio perfecto para mí, he recuperado recetas que me han enseñado en una cocina cargada de mundo y experiencias de su cocinero, he vivido literalmente en el castillo rodeada de todo lo que mi corazón sentía, he tenido los desafíos perfectos para mí sanación y he abrazado a quien lo necesitó...GRACIAS
