Ooh my goodness mama I miss your food so much already, so incredibly delicious. the home feels like a second home in Kathmandu the whole family is so welcoming and kind. The wheel is easy and they are very understanding and willing to help with anything you need. They even very kindly let us volunteers join in with their Tihar festivities which is a very family orientated festival and to have been invited and to be a part of that was truly a once in a lifetime experience. I learnt a lot about Nepali culture and life through staying here and I really appreciate everything. Thank you!xx

I spend 10 amazing days with Saroj and his lovely family. There wasn't too much work that needed to be done during my stay so we had a lot of time to explore Kathmandu. Saroj was an excellent host, and the food was really good. Would defenetly recommend volunteering here!

Saroj and his family were so kind and welcoming. There wasn't too much work during the time I was there so I had a lot of time to explore Kathmandu. Saroj took me up into the mountains on one of the days off, and also took me and the other volunteers to a local temple one day. Would definitely recommend volunteering here!!

A highly recommended experience. One of the best experiences of my life. Saroj and his family made us feel like home. We have learned about the value of things and it has been incredible to learn about Nepali culture from this farm.

This was my first worldpackers experience but it was perfect, was very relaxed, host was amazing and very clear at outlining daily tasks. I guess if I had to give some feedback it would be that some working days almost felt to short and you wanted to stay and help the farm for longer. But overall I couldnt recommend this place more and will definitely be back in the future.

I had the most amazing time at the home! Saroj was an excellent host and the meals were absolutely delicious! The rooms were quite large and very spacious! The beds were pretty comfy too, thank you for such an amazing two weeks.

Noemi and I went to the home for a bit more of a week. We worked during the working days around 2h at the midday doing farm tasks like weeding, planting, making compost, very interesting. We also had great meals, I loved specially the Thukpa, and even one day we did momos. Saroj is very nice and always willing to help you. It is also well located at 1h walk from Thamel and near to few hills.

Was a very enjoyable stay, the host family were very welcoming and friendly, Saroj spoke very good English and also informed us of activities to do which were very enjoyable. Met some other workers/travellers there too and it was a good experience all round. Food was also very good, 3 meals a day. No complaints

Working and Living at the home Farms was such an amazing experience! Nepal can certainly seem overwhelming especially when it is the first location amongst travels, but Saroj and his family most definately provided me with support about how to navigate the town always offering to help whenever needed! The rooms themselves were absolutely fantastic as well as the work. I really enjoyed the flexibility and laid-back atmosphere of my stay here and would most definately recommend to others:)
