Saroj and his family were wonderful hosts!Very kind and generous people! Me and the other volunteers only had around 1 hour of gardening work a day, so it was not too much work. We planted some vegetables such as Avocados & Potatoes and cleaned the cowshed (optional). We also did some animal care. The rest of the day we had for ourselves, we joined free yoga classes and explored the city. Saroj also did some activities with us hiking up to a view point and recommended places. One evening we even made MoMos with the family which was very special to learn! All in all I definitely recommend!

The experience I had for one week with Saroj and his family was very great. I was immersed in local culture and I learned a lot about local culture and customs. All the members of the family is very kind and it's very interesting to speak with everyone. Concerning the meals, Mama prepares good Dal Bat and complete breakfasts. We can also help Mama cooking which is very pleasant. We can learn how to make traditional dishes and one evening we made Momos all together !! For the work in the farm it is more help than work but it is great to be able to participate in the development of the garden.

I have a great time staying 3 weeks at Saroj's house. We also did a hiking trip to Langtang, and Saroj he was such a responsable leader and helped me a lot during this trip. During the time staying at his house, we have such a huge room with very clean toilet and 3 delicious Nepali meals per day. Saroj was very helpful with everything. I definitely recommend this stay.

Me and my friend had a fantastic experience in Kathmandu thanks to Saroj and his family. They are very kind people and the place is very cozy with all that we needed. Healthy food always. Sadly, or fortunately, we did not do any farm work due to the raining season so we had more time to make tourist and to rest. Also Saroj give us great recommendation for activities and the most important he offered us a really good price to go for a trekking with him.

The home was a great experience. Saroj took me around Kathmandu to experience cultural and religious activities that you wouldn't be able to access on your own! I really got to connect to the local community and see what life was really like. I barely did any work on the farm - if you are looking for a true permaculture host, I would recommend some where else. If you want to really explore Kathmandu and have a great local to teach you things then I recommend staying here!

Staying with Saroj's family was an amazing experience. I was expecting to be alone but when I first arrived there was 6 other volunteers from all around the world. In my week here I continued to meet 2 additional volunteers and it was an amazing experience! The other volunteers make this experience so wonderful. There is so much free time to explore the city and we are only working for 1 hour per day. Mama is so welcoming and friendly and the house feels like a home. Would definitely recommend ❤️

I really enjoyed my stay on the home. I had a huge room with a desk and WiFi, so I could also do my online work in the evenings. Mama cooked 3 delicious meals every day. I did some simple jobs such as harvesting garlic, potatoes, coffee beans and wheat. Saroj was also kind enough to invite me to a family wedding, they dressed me up in a traditional Sari. They also have 5 very cute dogs. I would definitely recommend staying at the farm. I also booked an EBC trek with Saroj, but unfortunately I would not recommend him as a guide as he doesn't have enough experience to safely guide people.
