I really enjoyed my time volunteering in Tomar! The team at the hostel is welcoming, friendly, and the town is charming. The responsibilities and my schedule were clear. The one thing I feel like other travelers should know is that Tomar isn't a big city like Lisbon or Porto, if that is what they're looking for. Nevertheless, the town is a lovely place to be and I had a very positive experience volunteering with the hostel. Thank you Sonia, Renato, Luis, and Margarida for a wonderful month in Tomar!

My experience on the hostel was just amazing!! Sonia, Luis and Renato was very welcoming to me and help me to get very used to the tasks and feel comfortable to be around. The daily routine will depends on the days, there is some days there is pretty easy but others are busy, but it's never long hours and we always have someone else to work with. Tomar is a very cute little town, and I loved to stay in. From here is easy to get to others cities like Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra and Caldas da Rainha, there is trains and buses everyday. Highly recommend

It was my first experience with Worldpackers and I would choose the hostel again and again. Sónia is a fantastic person, as all the members of the staff that I met there. the hostel is a wonderful city, especially if you love being in a place surrounded by nature and history. I had really a great time working at the hostel, having fun and hanging out with the staff. It was not just a volunteer experience, it was a personal growth and I found a family here. I will definitely come back again as soon as possible. Thank you Sónia, Renato, Luis, Raiza and Alberto for having been my family. ❤

Working in this hostel was an incredible experience. The hostel is very cozy and beautiful. Sonia, Raiza and Renato were extremely kind to me, they helped me solve every question and problem I had, they introduced me to their friends and they even celebrated my birthday, that made me really happy! The hostel is located in the best part of Tomar, with beautiful streets and amazing restaurants just a few minutes from the hostel. Thank you very much for the opportunity and for the experience. I will definitely be back!

The hostel is very organized, beautiful and cozy. Staff are flexible and help you when you need, schedules are flexible, just notify the staff. Best location in the city of Tomar, everything nearby and the city has an amazing history worth checking out. Thank you for the opportunity and the experience granted. See you!

I couldn't be happier with my experience at the hostel. The people working there are stars - a special thank you to Sónia, who has created an amazing hostel, and to Joana and Isabela, who were great colleagues. The hostel Tomar is the coolest place in Tomar.I had such an amazing time there. The staff is awesome, nothing was difficult.During my time there I had so much fun and learned so much. Guys, Sonia is THE BEST! She and her staff made me feel so, so welcome. They're all incredibly kind and understanding and helpful. And the hostel is BEAUTIFUL, and the work is extremely chill. Plus, Tomar has the absolute best food I had anywhere on my European adventures. You'll eat so well, and so cheaply -- it's really mind blowing. And you're right down the hill from the castle and convent which truly have yet to be surpassed by any monument I've seen since. Basically, you'll have a lovely and chill time with the nicest people in Europe. And the best food. Seriously.

I loved the opportunity of working at the hostel. It was my first experience as a volunteer and I can say it was amazing. All the staff members were really welcoming. Thank you again, Sónia, Joana, Fernando and Eutimo. I'll never forget all the funny moments we lived together. And I'm happy I could help you somehow. The tasks were simple and there was no room for feeling homesick. I hope I'll go back soon to visit you all. I recommend this hostel for those who want to know a different (and charming) city, help and make friends. This experience was one of a kind :)
