It has been absolute my pleasure to volunteer here for 1 month. Thank you for having me Renato, Sonia, Carlos, Alexandra, and Natalla. Workload is not heavy, and most of the times we finished within 2~3 hours. Most of the guests are pilgrims of El Camino de Santiago, so they stay here only 1 day, therefore it's a bit different atmosphere (guests age range, early riser, quiet night etc). For me it was perfect, as that's what I was looking for. Even their stay is usually short, I still met and made friends with a lot of great people from all over the world. Hope to come back here one day.😊

Very nice experience at Tomar with Renato and the team! Confortable and clean hostel, the tasks were very simple and some days were just a few because of the start of the low season of tourists. I totally recomended this experience. Obrigado!!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and I had an amazing stay in Tomar! The staff is so welcoming and really make you feel at home! The work is easy and as described. Tomar is a very cute, small medieval town with lots of cafes and restaurants. The hours make it possible to do some nearby day trips as well as going to explore further places in Portugal on your days off! Big thanks to Sónia, Renato, Carlos, and Alexandra! ❤️

Such an amazing experience at this hostel and met a lot of great people. The management & staff are so friendly and really made me feel like part of the team. Tomar is my favorite location in Portugal. The town has plenty of cafes/restaurants, cute shops, and an interesting castle to visit. The job responsibilities are a fair exchange for the accommodation that I received. I really recommend it, it was the best experience I've ever had.

It was my first volunteering and it was great, a cozy place and multicultural environment of great learning if you want to strengthen your English, Margarida, Alexandra and Louis are super nice, they always help with the tasks that need to be completed, too bad they won't be there anymore. Sonia and Renato (the bosses) they are also very nice, only Renato likes to joke that you are the slave of the hostel "just to make laugh others"💀he almost never goes there, but just to let you know. Tomar is a very cozy little city that is full of history. Well connect with whole Portugal. Obrigado!

This was my first experience as a volunteer and I loved it! Tomar is a very nice and cute city. The tasks were easy and fair, you have a lot of free time once you're done. The hostel is cozy and you can find everything you need. Special thanks to Margarida, Luis and Mathilde for making feel welcome and part of the team!

I don't even know there to begin. It was my first volunteering experience and it was great. Before coming to Tomar Sónia told me about the festival called “Festa dos Tabuleiros” and that I would be mindblown…what can I say I was mindblown. I felt like I was in a movie. The tasks were feasible but also fun because you never work alone. I'm very thankful for Margarida, Luis, Sónia and Mathilde, they made my stay very special and I will really miss them. I cannot put into words how they made everything so much more fun and interesting and I will always remember the great time I had in Tomar.

Well - distributed workload, food is served early on, no pressure with the tasks, and helpful co workers. Everything makes this hostel a good choice for a volunteer. Staff speak English proficiently but also other languages - Portuguese, French, Spanish. So if you want to learn there are many opportunities

I really enjoyed my time volunteering in Tomar! The team at the hostel is welcoming, friendly, and the town is charming. The responsibilities and my schedule were clear. The one thing I feel like other travelers should know is that Tomar isn't a big city like Lisbon or Porto, if that is what they're looking for. Nevertheless, the town is a lovely place to be and I had a very positive experience volunteering with the hostel. Thank you Sonia, Renato, Luis, and Margarida for a wonderful month in Tomar!

My experience on the hostel was just amazing!! Sonia, Luis and Renato was very welcoming to me and help me to get very used to the tasks and feel comfortable to be around. The daily routine will depends on the days, there is some days there is pretty easy but others are busy, but it's never long hours and we always have someone else to work with. Tomar is a very cute little town, and I loved to stay in. From here is easy to get to others cities like Lisbon, Porto, Coimbra and Caldas da Rainha, there is trains and buses everyday. Highly recommend
