This experience was awesome! I loved working at the hostel, from the first day I felt totally welcomed and at home. It was really fun to live in Gijo; I could surf , bike, snorkel, travel around, meet new amazing people and connect with nature. I'd totally recommend this program, everything was as expected and even better. Thanks to the team, I will absolutely miss this place ♥️♥️♥️

This was my second time at the hostel and once again it was an amazing experience, it truly feels like a second home and you get the opportunity to meet interesting people from all around the world. The work is well organised and is clear, and Ezequiel (the manager) is really supportive and approachable. I would definitely recommend this experience if you're wanting to surf, improve your Spanish and enjoy Asturias!

An unforgettable experience! I came to the hostel for a few weeks, I've learned a lot and met some great people. The atmosphere in the house makes you feel at home and Ezequiel makes sure that everyone enjoys their duties and has free time to visit the beautiful area. As a digital marketer, I was able to organize my time and share new ideas. I couldn't have asked for a better place to spend my holidays. Thanks again!

My experience in the hostel was way better than I could have imagined. I chose this place because my friends had come as guests before and said it was a must in Asturias, but little did I know I would share so many unforgettable experiences and continue learning about other cultures. Ezequiel, the manager, runs the hostel with love and commitment, which actually shows in the volunteers and guests' experience. He is flexible and tries to find the best possible outcome for everyone in every situation. Here you will practise languages, learn about surfing, skating, boxing, hiking.

It was amazing! The place is really great and worth it. I volunteered in the autumn/winter, so the work is easy because is low season. There was not so many people but the ones that were are very nice, I already miss the hostel and super recommend it.

I spent two months at the hostel and can recommend the experience. In general work is easy (even if it can get quite busy in high season) and the benefits you get out of your stay are above average (like free yoga, surfing, excursions, etc.). The team is nice and everyone willing to help and make you feel comfortable. The surrounding are is nice as you have access to pretty beaches, a park and the town is walking distance away.

The experience wasn't for me, but the hostel is a nice place. I thought it was a lot of work for a volunteer and I didn't end up staying the whole month. It's 5 hour solo shifts 5 times a week and you're expected to be in 4 places at the same time: cleaning bathrooms, reception, laundry and making beds, all by yourself. It was exhausting and overwhelming. I've done a lot of volunteering in hostels and never had this much work. The positives are that the hostel is good vibes and the managers and owners are friendly. I would recommend to someone who is really ready to do hard work.

Un lugar lleno de vibras, donde personas de todo el mundo llegan. Es muy facil poder conectar con gente y poder conocer de todas partes del mundo. La experiencia se hace por sobretodo especial cuando aprovechas los dias para surfear. Mareike es dedica a que el lugar sea ameno, la ubicación del hostal es muy bueno, el espacio fisico es ideal para crear una comunidad. La privacidad no existirá en este voluntariado pero si es algo que no te afecta, lo pasarás increible.
