The lodge is truly a amazing and memorable place. Alvaro and the team are the coolest yet most hard-working people you will meet, who go above and beyond to welcome you to the family. The tasks differed depending on the day so you weren't bored and the work was never too difficult. I recommend knowing an intermediate level of Spanish prior, as it can be overwhelming at first knowing only basics. However, everyone is lovely and patient enough that the message gets across and you get to learn so much. I really recommend this experience to everyone and I hope to return. Much love!

Daro is an amazing person. i got sick for several days when i first arrived and he check on me at least once a day, always asked how i was doing and got me meds at the store. i connected a lot with the animals and nature in this place and spent a very memorable time there. the permanent workers + daro are all so kind and cool and i'm so happy to have met them. i would highly recommend this place, but make sure to practice some spanish (if u dont) beforehand so you can really connect with other volunteers. i'm excited to come back and see how the place has grown

Daro is a truly wonderful host. He is considerate, capable, and a pleasure to be around. the lodge is a beautiful place to stay, that gives you an authentic insight into life in the Spanish countryside. The work is fulfilling and meaningful, everything you do gives you a sense of being a part of the place and that you are truly helping to better the lives of yourself, the hosts, and the other volunteers. The other staff that live there are pleasant and personable, and any one of them is willing to help if you are in need. I highly recommend this location, and plan to return.

I had an amazing time at the lodge! The tasks weren't difficult, everything was explained and you never work alone. And it's a beautiful place with beautiful animals. We had a lot of free time, we could also travel to nearby cities if we wanted to :) I miss everyone already

This was my first worldpackers experience, and I really enjoyed my time at the lodge. I made some really great friends while I was there. There wasn't as much work as I expected, and the work was very easy and straightforward. The only challenge was coordinating travel on my days off. Due to the location of the camp, there were no public transportation options to get around. I had to rely on the host and employees to get me to and from the bus stop or the meeting place for a BlaBlaCar driver. If you're looking for a more secluded location, then the lodge is perfect.

This was my first WP experience! I stayed at the lodge with my boyfriend for 2 weeks. My tasks were sweeping the patio, helping in the kitchen, setting the tables and serving food and sometimes helping doing workshops with the children. I also had to do some maintenence work, which concluded in painting rooms. I was very lucky to be there with my boyfriend and 3 other volunteers, they made the experience much better :) Shoutout to the volunteer, who came with her car. Thanks to her, we had so much more possibilities for our free days. Go by car and bring a friend/ bf if u can!

Daro was a good host. You can tell he cares about his business. He helped us organize excursions to far away cities on the weekends . We definitely had miscommunication and it was frustrating at times.

Having to evaluate the experience here I have to admit that although the location is a beautiful place for guests and for nature lovers, the same cannot be said for the experience as a worldpackers travelers that for all this (inclusion, sociality, health of meals, water and services, behavior, personal privacy) left me very puzzled because reading the information on the proposal and the initial video call I certainly did not expect such an unprofessional experience, referring to this, I would consider changing the title first.

My time at the lodge was quite rough. I didn't get enough guidance for what they want me to do and when, also got some overlapping instructions which led me to not get into the flow of the place. Daro told that he doesn't like to be asked too many questions and that we should figure things out ourselves, which I understand because he had a lot on his plate, but it also led to situations where I felt lost and didn't feel comfortable asking about what to do. There were a lot of things that didn't work and so I had to leave earlier than planned. If you apply, you should know some Spanish

Hello Saimi,

Thanks for your feedback. We know you should know some spanish, that's why we write it on the rules and explanations.

We are sorry because of the situation, there was the best experience ever. However, we did our part as we do always and things goes well.

Sometimes we need to see the big picture and start working from ourselves.

At the same time, please to all these new volunteers that want to come to us. Please read everything in advance and remember that the success of the experience is mostly up to you and how you adapt to our place.

We are always the same, more or less work depending on the season but the same atmosphere and values. We learn form everyone and each situation, nevertheless if you are willing for an epic experience please be proactive, kind and follow the few rules we have to create such an amazing team!

This was my first volunteering experience, so I had little expectations going into it and was just hoping for a meaningful experience. I feel like I got that! I connected with amazing people and was able to hear about different cultures as well as try different foods. It was nice to feel safe and taken care of while being so far from home. If you are someone who likes to feel apart of a community then this experience could be right for you! This experience has made me excited to use Worldpackers again!
