My experience at the hostel was great. The work is quite physical, but it's nothing that the description doesn't say. The volunteers room is a bit crowded but you get used to it. Overall, this was an amazing experience, and I'm so happy for all the people I met. As a female solo traveler, I felt safe and would recommend it to everyone :) Thank you for an experience I'll never forget!

Super good experience! The hostel is super clean and organized, the other volunteers are the best part by far, amazing people that you can connect while working and living together. The city is also cool and close to other bigger cities like Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Thank u for all the amazing moments, the hostel team!

This was a really good experience for my second time volunteering. The work is hard and is explained well before you arrive. Living in the hostel is alright, however it is a small hostel and it can sometimes be hard to get your own space. The friends I made I will never forget and I loved learning from everyone's cultures. The communication between the staff and the volunteers could be a little better, but in general they provide a professional, yet casual environment.

The work was as described. It's mostly cleaning and making beds, so the work itself isn't "fun" but there weren't any really gross messes. An important note is that the main shift is from 11 to 4 which is perfect for experiencing the area's nightlife but does mean it can be hard to do activities on a work day. A definite positive is that the shifts often ended early. The best part of this experience is the team of volunteers. We went on a lot of fun adventures together and I made a lot of close friendships. I would definitely return. Be prepared to have a fun experience that isn't perfect.

I had an amazing time at the hostel, would definitely recommend!! The communication between the hosts and the volunteers could've been better and the volunteer room is very small and crowded. I got used to it after a while, but it's something to be prepared for. Apart from that it was a really nice first volunteering experience. The city is beautiful in the spring and you meet so many wonderful people from all around the world (especially brazil). I'm sure that the friendships i made will last a lifetime <3 so so grateful for this experience!! see you all soon!!🫶

I'm satisfied with my experience. I improved my English, travelled and got to know new people and cultures The girls at the reception are so nice but the room is very small, there is no dedicated space for volunteers and there are only a few moments to spend all together. Work takes up a large part of the day and the organisation of night shifts is not very good and some of us were obligated to do them. Overlooking all these things, this experience gave me the opportunity to create in a short time deep and sincere friendships

My experience at the hostel was good, I met a lot of nice people. I improved my English and traveled a lot throughout the Netherlands. Unfortunately, before arriving I had high expectations (also reading the other reviews) which I didn't really encounter. The volunteers' room is very small, the breakfasts have sufficient basic elements and the work takes up a large part of the day. Every week a family dinner was organized and they give us €15 to make a dinner for 12 people. But often this amount was not delivered to us, and many times we volunteers had to add money.

I had a good time at this hostel and made a lot of friends. The work is fair but is quite physical. The volunteer room is super small and cramped. I appreciate the pre-planned schedule and days off. The staff is welcoming but could improve open communication with volunteers and at times I felt like we were treated as children. Overall I would highly recommend but be ready for it not to be perfect like some other reviews suggest!!

Overall, this was a great experience! The people are what make all of the work worth it (it is a lot so be prepared), but it's nothing that isn't in the description. The family-like relationship you build with the other volunteers makes it hard to leave. I made friends what will last a life time.

I did love volunteering at the hostel as the people I volunteered with were amazing. We all became a close family and spent all our free time together doing various fun activities. The people you meet are wonderful and I made connections I will truly cherish forever. However, in terms of the hostel itself, I felt the work responsibility and level of intensity was quite extreme. On days where the hostel was busy, the hours were very long and the work was arduous. The bedroom is very small, sleep lots of people, gets dirty quickly and has no natural sunlight.
