I loved my stay at the project! The hosts are the sweetest and I met the best people from different countries here. I learned about different languages and cultures but also about food and nature. I'm really gonna miss the people, the views, the food, the work, the talks,.. This place and the people felt like my second home. Lots of love❤️

The project germolio was my first volunteering experience and I couldn't ask for a better one. The people I met at the farm inspired me and tought me about their culture and in exchange we (my friend and I) tought them about ours. The farm is surrounded by nature which is very calming. The tasks were easy and after some time became as sort of meditation. Even tho I spent just three weeks on the farm It felt like a year and everyone felt like a family after just few days. I would recommend learning some basics of Italian, or Spanish before you arrive, but you can get around speaking English just fine 🌷

I had a great time at the project, everyone was welcoming and I got the chance to meet the loveliest people from many different countries! The work was fun and interesting, and I learned a lot about the properties and uses of various plants. If you want to improve your italian this is a great place to go, some members of the family only speak italian and although you can get by just speaking english, I'd recommend learning some italian before you come here. There's a lot to explore around, and it's easy enough to take public transport to one of the near big cities for a weekend!

I enjoyed my trip to the project very much. Alessio was extraordinarily welcoming and flexible. It felt like I was a part of the family while there. The food and excursions were a lot of fun. The tasks we did weren't really difficult and most (like harvesting fruits) were pretty meditative. I think this experience was wonderful for be submerged into Italian culture, as well as getting hints of other cultures from the diverse group of other travelers. I would recommend this experience to others.

Thank you to Alessio and Andrea for their warm welcome and their generosity. If you want to eat the best of Italian cuisine, immerse yourself in Italian culture and learn more about permaculture, the project is the place to be. A quick comment on their mother, who can be quite oppressive but fortunately doesn't live with us.

My experience 10/10 ;) I'm super thankful for everything. The family is very welcoming, open and full of energy. The mountains, the forest and the farm work grounds you extremely. Everyone is super open hearted and makes you feel at home. A lot of love, a lot of emotion, a lot I learned about life, nature, family and also a lot of kindness, respect and interest towards my person. “the project” means the sprout and this is how it feels, they nourish your soul, the little seed, with good energy and wisdom from nature and life until its a sprout, ready to grow further into a beautiful plant 🌱

The overall experience was great. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The work was fun and lots of nature. Would be much easier if I knew Italian though. If you are a sensitive person, I would not recommend coming here. Luisa is REALLY intense sometimes. She creates a stressful environment and if you are not used to people like that it might not be fun. She will shout at you in Italian and expect you to drop what you're doing to help her. Don't always expect punctuality, like we'd be told to start working at 6 but couldn't start before 7 because no one was awake to tell us what to do.

Overall, we loved our experience at the project. We learnt a lot, ate great food and lived in a stunning part of Italy. Alessio (who lived on the farm) is very generous and knowledgeable and Andrea (Alessio's Brother) & his family were very friendly and kind. They also stick to what was stated on worldpackers. The only downsides were: the tent for belongings, was crowded and things got slightly cold and damp due to condensation (we did experience more rain than usual) Louisa (Alessio's Mother) who did our laundry, created a stressful environment and made us feel very unwelcome.
