KMC is perfect! welcoming and well organised. Permanent residents are unique, they radiate contagious Peace and Joy! I spent fantastic 6 weeks in the art studio. The supervisors are kind and patient, you always get sincere smiles from them as well as a lot of respect for your work and schedules, they even facilitate you to attend the project programs after lunch. If you haven't meditated before, it's the perfect place to start, as was the case for me. Magnificent priory surrounded by beautiful vast nature with many trails around. 100% recommended guys!, I plan to return!

I think the only indicator I can show of how much this experience changed my life and how monumentally incredible I found it, is that I've rewritten my review 6 times and read over at the end saying ahh this doesn't give it enough credit; no words can summarise 'the project Experience', all I can say to people reading this is, there is no debate for if you should go, just book it right now. It surpassed all my expectations in every way and I can't speak for how you would find it, but all the friends I made arrived with a different background and approach; the majority extended their stay. x

This was my first experience as a volunteer and it couldn't have been better. I stayed for 6 weeks and had the opportunity to work in two different sectors. All the coordinators were super nice and kind, the work was calm with only a few busier days, but overall super peaceful. I met many special people who will stay in my life forever and learned a lot about different cultures and practiced many other languages. I recommend everyone to choose this amazing place with surreal energy.

Volunteering at the Buddhist center was one of the best experiences I've had. The place is beautiful; you get to live in a castle surrounded by nature. The food is amazing, even if you're not vegetarian or vegan, you will enjoy it. The tasks in the café were challenging sometimes, especially when a lot of customers arrived, but it was a nice experience, and the team is awesome. There are a lot of the project classes, books, and talks about Buddhism where you can assist and learn more about it. Also, there are usually many volunteers, so you get to meet people from different countries.

At MKMC, my first volunteering stint was fantastic. Originally planning to stay two weeks, I extended for another because of the great experience. I met wonderful people, made friends, and learned more about myself. Working in the kitchen was enjoyable, even if it meant shedding tears while chopping onions. Odro, a monk in the kitchen, was kind and always ready with a joke or advice. It's definitely a place where you meet a lot of interesting people, even if you're not part of the Buddhism community; during this time, you become one. Grateful to everyone who made my time there special. <3

It was without a doubt one of the best experiences of my life. I had amazing weeks, got to know more about Buddhism, practiced the project, met a lot of wonderful people, and had great conversations. I had a lot of fun. The food is great, the work at the Café I also found very cool, I was able to develop new skills and practice my English, in addition to the unique environment. The place is also surrounded by nature and gives you a great sense of peace.

Without a doubt this volunteering was one of the best I have done. The schedules were respected, the climate among the volunteers is very warm and you can attend the project classes offered in the temple. Recommended for anyone who wants to learn about Buddhism and connect with nature.

Working in the café was an amazing experience. The people around you are always helpful, friendly and understanding even in the most stressful situations. The residents also were always open to talk to you and to answer questions about Dharma or anything Eternally grateful for the people who made of this experience the most eventful I've ever had A warm and big hug to everybody
