Being my first volunteering experience, I was unsure of what to expect, however within seconds of walking through the door I was immediately made feel welcome and at home. The work included in the day shift is fairly simple and straightforward, and Alejandra and Izzy are always around and ready to help if there's an issue. Overall I truly enjoyed my stay at UGH and the amazing people I met along the way!

I really enjoyed my experience at UGH. The tasks are easy and the rest of the group really make you feel part of the team. You will have time to explore Lisbon and the rest of Portugal. You can always count on the manager Izzy to accomodate your needs. An area that I think can be improved is that the staff room is a little small for 8 people since there is no common space for the volunteers.

As my first volunteering experience, I think the hostel is amazing but the mostly important part of this , is how Izzy and Alejandra treat and helps the volunteers, always there to help and teach, it's an amazing place I really enjoy my time there. also with u want to improve ur language skills it's a perfect place to do !

I had a very special month at the hostel! The host was caring and welcoming and I felt very comfortable with everyone! The atmosphere between us volunteers was very great and we had a lot of fun together! I feel very thankful to have been a part of the UGH family and miss everything about it! I would definitely recommend doing volunteering here! The whole experience was a good deal, working hours were fine, food provided was good and any wishes/complains/worries were handled very well and conscientious. UGH is a great place to get to know people and to improve your social skills! Thank you!

This was my first Worldpackers experience, and i really enjoyed my stay. Everyone was very welcoming, and Izzy as well as the other staff were always super nice and helpful. The other volunteers were amazing people, and you also had lots of free time to explore the city and places around it! The shifts are also pretty easy. I would definitely recommend.

This was my first Worldpackers experience and because of that I was pretty nervous in the beginning, but the team is very welcoming. Izzy and Alejandra (as well as Marcus and Waleed) are amazing people. Doubts, fears, complaints or suggestions for improvement can be discussed openly with them and they will be taken seriously. The tasks are pretty easy and you have plenty of time to discover the beautiful Lisbon. I got to know plenty of different people all over the world through the hostel life and I made wonderful friends. I really recommend the hostel, thank you!

As a first-time Worldpacker, I couldn't have asked for a better experience than the hostel. The job is pretty easy, and what's even better is that you get four days off to explore Portugal. But what really made this experience unforgettable is the sense of community that you build with fellow Worldpackers. Izzy, the host, is always there to assist with anything you might need, making the whole experience even better. Thank you once again for the once-in-a-lifetime experience!

I met a lot of new people that I will stay in touch with. Working hours are respected and you will have plenty of time to explore beautiful Lisbon. The whole experience was amazing, I would definitely recommend it, I already want to go back.
