This was the best place to enjoy Edinburgh and the beautiful towns around. The hotel is in a strategic area to visit the old town and the Fife region easily. Sav and Josie were very welcoming and great work companions. All the tasks are simple and we always had flexible hours. I highly recommend the hotel to experience the local culture and feel at home in Scotland.

The other volunteers were friendly and helped me settle in. You'll see lots of Kinga and Josie, they are friendly and helpful. Michael also pops in and helps where needed. There's two staff accommodation rooms. The room I was staying in first was not kept in the best condition. The bathroom had extensive mold and limited space. I was in a top bunk bed and the ladder was missing its top step. I brought these concerns to host but they were fixed. Two of the volunteers left after couple of days after I got there, so I moved to that room, and had a much better experience.

Had a great time at the hotel! Was a cute neighbour area and right near the coast! The other volunteers were amazing and have made incredible friendships! Kings and Mikel were also great! Making sure everyone was good and felt comfortable! The work was super easy and very straightforward. I can't wait to see what kinga and Mikel do to the place:) Thankyou! Although I didn't meet Sav, she made sure I was okay and the rest of the team also!

Breakfast is ok and working hours are respected the most of the times, however sometimes you will be ask to help out even if you aren't working. People around me were very friendly, we had a shared room which was comfy but unfortunately close to reception and some guests knocked at door during the night. The host is welcoming but you barely see her, if you have any problem you can reach her out. I recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay while sightseeing, Edinburgh is beautiful. Not recommended to make local friends or cultural exchange.

Hi everyone! I'd recommend to volunteer here at any time 😊 maybe you just should think two times in August since is the highest season and you may feel kinda stressed and make the 5 hours the whole month, and if you stay at the hotel in your free time you may be ask to help or receive calls/ messages. But you can practice Spanish or Portuguese, since all volunteers are Latin ☺️. You can get the chance to work with the host and friends to get some pocket money which I thing is the most outstanding part about this place. The manager and hosts are pretty lovely though 💗. Reach me for more info!

I spent two weeks at the Hotel doing work as the night porter. Cleaning the dining room, bar, kitchen, toilets, taking out all the garbage bins, doing the laundry, and preparing the breakfast five days a week from Sunday to Thursday. The work was just basic housekeeping. Cleaned a couple of rooms when the Ukrainians moved out. It was quite easy. Inverkeithing is a very nice town and it is easy to go into Edinburgh and surrounding towns by train or bus. A note for future volunteers buy a round trip ticket as the return is only a few cents more. Unfortunately, I bought one way transportation.

Amazing experience! Sav is super welcoming and helpful and Josie is super lovely and hard-working! I had the opportunity to live an incredible experience in this place, I met people from all over and I was able to learn two languages while living with other volunteers and guests. The place is super peaceful and the hours are flexible. I highly recommend it, I will miss it ❤️

The hotel is a beautifully designed building, with old decor and massive rooms. The place is huge. the hotel houses a lot of Ukrainian guests who are waiting for a home and Sav, the boss, looks after her guests with clean and comfortable rooms and dinner in the evenings. The chefs cook amazing food and everyone sits in the dining room. Everyone is very pleasant and Sav prioritises everyone's comfort. She was always around to chat if anyone needed it and Josie has been there over 20 years and she has a tight ship which creates a real positive atmosphere.
