I had a great time staying here! I felt very welcomed from the very first moment:) Juan the manager is really friendly and kind. The group of volunteers is big and we did a lot of things together so I never felt lonely. The volunteering tasks were easy and the working times where respected. The location of the hostel is very central and the beach is near. The hostel is clean. I would recommend volunteering in this hostel if you want to meet new people. It helps if you understand a little bit spanish because a lot of volunteers spoke Spanish and it helps to understand each other:)

I had an excellent experience at the hostel in Tarifa! The team and host were very friendly and I felt very welcomed and comfortable. Also, the host is very flexible for schedule requests and the maximum hours of work per week is well respected (20 hours for the cleaning shift). The tasks for the cleaning shift are very easy and simple and the hostel is very clean and organized and has a great vibe! I would absolutely recommend :)

This was my first experience with WorldPackers and really really enjoyed it! I also went to the Tarifa hostel later which is a bigger hostel with more common rooms. I was here during January and in the hostel in Cadiz it was very cold, so keep in mind to bring warm clothes as there is only one heater in the whole building.

I had a really good time in Cádiz, the location of the hostel and the other volunteers were great! The managers were reachable through Whatsapp, where you also get the tasks and schedule.

I don't even know where to start. Not only did this host cancel my stay just two days before my arrival, but they also literally kicked me out due to a big misunderstanding. I really wanted a chance to explain and fix things, but I wasn't even given that opportunity. They told me, "You have 24 hours to leave," and then disappeared, ignoring my calls and messages. The owner had told me we could discuss things that evening, but he didn't show up. Instead, he just messaged me, saying, "This is business." Well, if it's business, then at least act professionally. If any questions, let me know ;))

The hostel in Cadiz was an wonderful volunteer experience. We as the Staff grew very close over a short amount of time which made the whole experience even better. The work as volunteer was just as expected and never too overwhelming. I couldn't always agree on how we were to handle some stuff and tasks but it never turned out to be a big problem. Amazing location to enjoy cadiz!

I was in the hostel Tarifa with a friend. We stayed in Sep'24. The communication with the host was not perfect but the supervisor helped a lot and was very nice. The hostel orginises no activities and doesn't seem to care about the guests really. The room with the beds was okay. It was a 12 bed room. The door to the room was always open and there were no curtains. We were there for cleaning. Another volunteer explained the tasks really good and they were managable, but because you have to da morning, midday and evening shift, and it's really exhausting we could never do trips together.

Me and a friend were at the Hostel in Tarifa for 3 weeks in Sept. '24 as Cleaners. I don't regret it, Tarifa is a beautiful small city and the ocean was worth it, but the working experience could be better. We were the only 2 cleaners, one of us was always cleaning for 7 hours a day (8-10/12-15/20-22) and we never had a day off together. The work itself was ok, as the hostel was not full, but exhausting and the only benefit we got, was a bed in an uncomfortable room with the other volunteers, who were nice, but older and only speaking Spanish, we didn't do much together.
