I was so sad to leaving the hostel, it was such a wonderful experience. About the shifts: Super easy! The hostel is really nice, big rooms, a big common area where you can meet a lot of people. If you are interested in volunteering there, don't think it more! Eindhoven is a small but beautiful city, the hostel is really close to the centre, you can go by foot everywhere.Michel and Franklin always take care of the volunteers, they are easygoing, you can learn a lot from them.I'm so happy of have being there, I felt like in home. I hope to come back some day. Thanks Michel & Franklin for everything!

I really liked to work at the hostel. Is a nice and quite place to be and to work. The hours to work are respected and the owners work with you as equal. The owners are very nice and respectful. They offer food and kitchen which is great. The city is awesome. Very clean and pretty. With a cool city center and good parks. They let you take the bikes to cycling around and everything is near the hostel. Is a really good location. I'll definitely recommended this hostel to work and I would love to work again there someday. They have a dog that is very quiet and make me a little less afraid of animals. :)

If you are thinking to go to the hostel, stop thinking and go now! My experience as a Worldpacker in there was the best month of my life. Every single thing in that hostel is perfect: starting with the best host you could ask, Frank and Michel, and the best fellow worldpackers; following with Roos and the rest of the animal crew; and finishing with the hostel itself. Both the host & the staff felt as a family, and the place as a second home. I did the cleaning shift, and I was happy to wake up every morning to do my tasks! I learned so much over there and I would definitely love to go back!

The job is simple and easy to do, there's always plenty time to enjoy the day as you want. I stayed at the hostel for 3 months, Michel and Franklin are very friendly and helpful. The hostel is awesome, and it's in the city center where you can find everything around you 5-mins walking. I had lots of fun at the hostel, it was like a family, and my second home. I would really recommend it to anyone wants to chill, relax and also have fun. I would like to stay again.

I spent 2 greatful months in the hostel Backpakers. Eindhoven is very beautiful city! The tasks aren't rough and you can use the bikes for free that is pretty cool!. About the hosts both were very kind with me and the other volunteers. About Michelle I know he may express himself in a rude way sometimes but actually he is a really good man, he cooked for us many times and you can have a good conversation with him. Think about the hostel is their business so you have to respect their rules, that's it. I totally recommend this hostel and I'd like to work with them again. Thanks a lot for everything!

My experience at the hostel was very nice. The crew was great, everyone got along amazingly. The hostel is very calm and sweet. My job at the reception was also calm, lasted only 4 hours per day, not very hard. The city is definitely a place I want to go back to. Very quiet, very peaceful, and also very small. Ask to be trained by Franklin. He is very thoughtful and helpful. Always ready to help if you need it. All in all, it was a great experience! I definitely recommend it to those who look for a nice, chill place to spend the month.

3 volunteers working as 5, 4 hour shifts but 3x a day = 12 hours a day, 3 room changes (2 nights at Michel's stairs, inside his room, with no privace) and a VERY rude owner... All this joy and I lasted less than a week at the hostel, leaving was the best decision for the trip of my life. If your plan is leaving your home for no fun, no learning, no free time, no pay check and no friendly envoirnment this is your place ;) Just read his aswers to other volunteers and make your call.

I REALLY DONT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Don't be fool like me, don't let be deceived by these good reviews, it is just favor exchange. Believe me. I applied to social media, night shift, reception and cleaning. When I arrived just cleaning. We could not settle down in some room, they made us (the volunteers) change our rooms 3 times (just because he wanted). When he saw that we were unhappy, said that he was the owner and could do whatever he wants. Michel (the owner) was making everybody tense and afrai... Guys, I just have 600 characters, please send me a message and I can explain better!

Very sad to read this review.
Dear Junior, it looks like it that you are just to young to understand how things work in real life.Real men(adults) talk face to face.
If you where so unhappy, tense and afraid, then why didn't we hear anything from you when you where here??When you can't do a simple job like cleaning, we couldn't let you do the night shifts or reception because you are not responsible enough. (just to young)
If you paid a little bit more attention then you good know the reason why the volunteers needed to change rooms ones in a while. Our guests are a little bit more important, and as you know we are always busy. That means you had to change rooms. Besides that.......
Changing rooms was to protect you, the gay volunteer and the female volunteers, from annoying guests from Italy.
One thing you did understand, is that i am one of the owners, and when i ask or tell you to change rooms, you simply have to do that.

Kind Regards,
Michel
