First , there is no explanation on this app though, you have to give 500 peso to the owner as deposit in the case if you break something even unintentionally ( which I lost all 500 pesos because I broke rusty key on the door) You can't get breakfast here, but small snout of veges , bread and fruits for sharing with all stuffs . Normally it's gone in a couple days and you never get them again . Host told me they want volunteers to have small amount of breakfast as they can't afford to do more Wish you all luck with the place!!

YES it is an explanation about the $500 pesos deposit to get the set of keys. The key we gave you wasn't rusty at all; I can send proof of it if requested by a host. You broke the key because you forced it. You could have contacted us when having trouble with opening the door and we would have been very pleased to help you inmediatly. The breakfast we include is a lacto-ovo vegetarian rationed pantry replenished every week (but you didn't stay that longer with us to see it); this information is also in the explanation and we also say it to you the moment you arrived to our home. Some volunteers use this pantry not only for breakfast but for lunch and dinner too. Maybe that is why it was over too soon. That is why we tell our volunteers the pantry is only for breakfast. We can afford to give you hot water for showers, fast internet access, gas for cooking hot meals, food for breakfasts, drinks for meetings or parties and a lot of other things too, but it seems you never didn't appreciated all of this. Also you need to improve your communication skills both in spanish and english; maybe that is why you didn't understand a lot of things that were happening. Good luck too.

Volunteering in Puebla, Mexico, making tortas was a joyous journey. The owners, incredibly kind, not only shared culinary expertise but also took me out to drink, facilitating meaningful connections with the locals. These personal touches enhanced the overall experience. The program provided insights into Puebla's culture. Personal growth, meaningful contributions, and connecting with locals made this a transformative experience. Highly recommended for those seeking a volunteer opportunity.

My experience at the home was so good! The host were so caring and always made sure that myself and the other volunteers were comfortable and taken care of. The work was exactly as listed, I spent my mornings taking care of the plants and common areas and keeping everything clean and tidy. Both the host always had recommendations for how to spend my days after my work days. I would 100% recommend volunteering here if you're in the area! Thank you so much Guile and Georgina for the opportunity to experience Puebla!

Had a great experience at Cosme tortas. Work was easy, good schedule for planning your days in advance. Puebla is a true gem. Very charming, cozy and the location was steps away from all the main attractions in the center. Big thanks to the hosts who were excellent and one of the nicest people I have ever met. Very helpful, informative and alway there for you incase of everything. One thing is that basic Spanish is necessary for this experience and for living in Puebla.

I stayed with Guille and Geo for one month and I had an amazing and authentic Mexican experience. Guille and Geo really go out of their way to make sure the volunteers have a good time; they even take the volunteers out to show them the best places to eat and drink in the city. Working at Cosme tortas was a fun and social experience and it was great to learn about Mexican gastronomy. Muchas gracias Guille for being so patient with my Spanish. I would not hesitate in applying to volunteer here if you have the chance.

I had an incredible experience at the home! I really enjoyed the immersive experience of living in Puebla, practicing my Spanish with everyone, all while learning more about Mexican cuisine at the TorterĂa. Geo and Guille made me feel really welcome and created a fun atmosphere with the whole group by taking us to cool spots in town and organizing fun evenings together. I also really appreciated the facilities and access to fresh fruits and veggies for breakfast every day. Definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a social and culturally immersive experience! Muchas gracias :))

It will be a perfect experience to stay in the city which has a traditional culture remains and a lot of Mexican food for the first time in Mexico. They taught me many kinds of Mexican food and culture and traditional in Puebla and Mexico. It is also near to center so you can enjoy walking around the city and there is no difficulty to live. If they improve internet connection it will be more comfortable to work.

Volunteering here was really a unique experience! The environment is lively and social, and the hosts made a point to spend time with volunteers showing us places in the city and giving us recommendations. The volunteer accommodations are basic, but if you're a flexible person and proactive about asking for info/what you need it's not a big issue. I can also recommend this job if you're learning Spanish, it's a great place to practice!
