We seek for volunteers to help build a medieval Gothic edifice in Burgundy using 13th-century techniques and materials.
We provide food and lodging in exchange for your help 5 days a week.

Building & Repairing: Help with a wide range of repairs or building.

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Requirements

Intermediate English or Intermediate French

Between 18 and 75 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

We are building a Medieval edifice by hand and from scratch using hand-carved stones, reclaimed local stone, and lime mortar.
It's a work of art and a magical construction. A project that is creating more than just a 13th-century building but life long memories.


Activities & Shift

We work in groups doing various housekeeping tasks, such as collecting rocks, masonry, woodwork, DIY projects, and yard work.
The day starts at 8h with a 2 hours lunch break and finishes at 17h.
The minimum stay is 2 weeks, the 1st day is induction & training.
Weekend activities are organized when possible with hiking and visiting local sites.
