This was my first experience of volunteering, i absolutely loved it. The hostel is a really nice place, i met such great people and got great connections with the others volunteers. I loved the vibe of Puerto Viejo, there s not 1000 things to do but it s more about getting to know the culture and live slowly. Even though we have a training the first few days, i was a bit confused about some aspects of the job cause you are alone during the shift. They changed manager during my stay but maybe it would be good to check a bit more on the volunteer in person and not only on the phone.

My stay at the hostel was great! The work was fair, everything was as agreed. Marcos and Maria are super friendly, and the other volunteers were great as well. It immediatelly felt like home! Would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to meet new people and have heaps of fun.

I had an amazing time working at the hostel! While the work can sometimes be quite demanding when the bar is busy, it is a super fun position! My favorite night to work was karaoke night (or the cooking class because the patacones are muy rico). I stayed at the hostel across the street, El Clan, and my shared room was very nice. On days I wasn't biking to the beach with the bikes provided by the hostel, I was hanging out at the hostel pool. I highly recommend this experience to anyone wanting to visit Puerto Viejo!

I absolutely loved my time at the hostel!!! It was very fun and they were very organized with messaging us what needed to be done. The shifts are very chill and the people I met will be friends for a life time. The hostel is very social so it was very easy to meet new people which was great for a solo traveler, the hostel is also such a close walk to town and the beach so it's very easy to get around :)

This was such an amazing experience! The social nature of the hostel made it so easy to make friends with volunteers, guests, and locals. The activities every night are fun and great for socialising, since the position of bartending/activities is only night shifts you have a lot of free time to explore beautiful Puerto Viejo. The workload is very fair and enjoyable provided you have enough volunteers with you as management aren't always present. The facilities are great, I stayed in a 4 bed volunteers dorm, access to the pool/bikes were a highlight. I would definitely volunteer here again!

This was my first Worldpackers experience and it was truly great, my work hours were flexible (as I was working with social media), the volunteer dorm, common areas and kitchen of the hostel were fantastic, and Puerto Viejo is truly an amazing place to stay. I met amazing people, and even extended my stay. The only downside was that management was a little confusing, and it was difficult to communicate with the manager about issues that happened. Other than that, I loved the place, its very social and you meet amazing people from around the world, and the daily activities are very fun.
