Thank you to Michelle and family for making my stay so welcoming and memorable. the guest house is the perfect place to leave city life behind and reconnect with nature. I was lucky enough to stay in one of the apartments, which was super-comfy, a real treat! I loved the delicious lunches courtesy of Michelle and Thomas and all of our chats about music, food, life. Need to drive to get around, but alternatively, you can hop on a bicycle or jog (like I did). The work was a mix and sometimes sporadic, but manageable once discussed. Added bonus: the two friendly doggies 💜

Michelle is a great host she makes you feel at home, the guest house a great place to collaborate, super nice in a quiet valley near Caldas da Rainha. If you love nature and want to have an inmersive experience on a nice valley in Portugal this is your place. The work was as expected. Michelle and her family are super kind

This experience has been really good, the host his kind and friendly and the place it's amazing. The work was quite easy and flexible, but sometimes the host doesn't explain perfectly the work so I had some problems do to it good. Except this little thing, I suggest you this experience if you are looking for a chilly and enjoyable experience in Portugal

This was my first ever Worldpacker experience and it was amazing. Michelle was nothing but kind and welcoming. I really enjoyed getting to spend the time that i did with them and getting to know her family. From bowling, to the conversations we had in the car, to enjoying pizza night on the couch with the kids, thank you! It was super interesting to get a different perspective on life. It's an experience I will never forget. Wishing you and your family nothing but the best in life. Hope to come again some time in the future <3 ( with drivers license ) - Fred

Michelle and her family super nice and friendly. the guest house was a good place to slow down and enjoy nature a bit. Tasks weren't hard, sometimes you need to improvise and assume what you need to do than told. Less structured work and more spread at random time within days, but also there is a car for volunteers to use and explore around. There are always minor setbacks, but overall good experience

We loved our stay at the Quinta! Michelle is a great host and made us feel at home, she's very understanding and kind and I recommend for anyone to stay here. The tasks were easy and the hours were always respected, she even has a car for volunteers to get around and includes you in her Friday pizza/movie night.

What can I say about the guest house… I very much loved & appreciated my time here. Michelle is a very passionate & caring person who just asks for a hand with the Quinta. She's a powerful woman doing it all alone! 💕 I was more than happy to help anytime. She also cooked us a delicious lunch EVERYday and honestly my first experience on world packers couldn't have been better! This is a beautiful region & I'm happy to have witnessed it. I will note is there is a volunteer car, but it's manual and it's necessary to get around! I loved meeting you all and will miss being at the Quinta. ✨

This was a truly incredible experience! Quinta Japanesa gives you the ability to explore Portugal while feeling at home and truly part of a family. Michelle is a truly incredible host who really loves what she does and wants you to feel at home while volunteering here. The workload is a couple hours for 5 days a week which is incredibly fair. You'll help out with gardening, cooking, and really learning what it takes to run her vacation stay location. Each day you share a lunch with Michelle and sometimes even her sons as well. I would absolutely recommend volunteering here its incredible!

Blows my mind what Michele offers to the volunteer, it is a great accommodation, a car, and excellent food (with pizza night every Friday). About the work, it's not that hard, and you have the coffee break between 11, the hours are respected! The place and region are amazing to explore. Michele always has a good recommendation about where to go and what to do. Thank you for the opportunity, was a great experience!
