I had a great time at the hostel, from the second I walked into reception to the last goodbye, i felt welcomed. You will live in a little angle of paradise with amazing food & a great team. Hours & tasks are very doable - when the team is great, time literally flies. Pity i couldn't extend my stay, would have loved to!

My time at the hostel was amazing. Everyone here really is one big family. My responsibilities were exactly as expected and I would recommend this role to anyone looking for a social volunteering position. Already planning my next trip back!

I stayed at the hostel for three weeks after deciding to shorten my stay after spending a week in El Paredón and realizing the town itself is quite limited in things to do. The volunteer team was amazing and I met some genuinely great people and made close friends during my time there. The bar shifts, however, were more physically demanding than I expected for a volunteer role. You're on your feet the entire 7.5-hour shift and constantly busy, which made the work feel more intense than I had anticipated. Still, it was a valuable experience, and I appreciated being part of such a lively community:)

The hostel was a wonderful time, and it was hard to say goodbye 💜 The place runs really smoothly, and it's a very sustainable amount of work mixed with fun. The benefits are incredible, and you do earn them with a good but fun time working. It felt good to truly belong somewhere after so much travel. Miss everyone there, and I hope you apply!

This was my first volunteering experience and I would 100% recommend to other travellers. It's the perfect balance of socialising and relaxing, board rentals everyday and a minute away from the sunset on the beach every night.

The hostel was my first ever volunteering experience and I have no regrets going there, I even stayed a week longer than originally planned and the experience taught me so much. The hostel is beautiful and has everything you could need and is a 2 minute walk from the beach, the town is very small but perfect for escaping the world for a little while and partying all night if that's your thing :)) Thank you to Elli and Felix for hosting me, as well as all the managers, it was a pleasure to have spent time with you all, it was very hard to say goodbye, it felt like a family.

I ended up leaving a few days early to continue my travels because I was injured, couldn't surf, and felt exhausted from the work and heat, but if you're looking for a quaint surf and party town & you're down to work hard, it's perfect! Each work shift was 7.5 hours which was quite long–you'll basically be working full time as lime juicer/busser/dishwasher lol. But you get free surfboard rentals which was awesome! The food was good, the hostel had fun events, & the facilities were okay–it's super hot and buggy though with no AC. Still, overall a fun experience with cool people!

This wasn't a good fit for me, but an overall good experience. This position (event manager) is for someone that loves to party and doesn't want to travel on days off. Management and other staff were awesome. The beach is also pretty nice (great to play volleyball and sunset is stunning). Overall I don't think the amount of hours is in line with the accommodation/food trade off.
