The experience

Hello there!

We are a small independent hostel in the centre of Edinburgh, with a maximum capacity of 69 people.

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person to help us with daily tasks and making the guests' experience as fantastic as possible.

We are ideally looking for help with cleaning and checking in guests. Hostel and social media experience is preferred but not essential.

What you offer

20 hours of help per week

Night Shift: Help with night shift tasks and create a relaxing environment for guests.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

What you get

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Bikes at your disposal: You can use our bikes any time you want.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Intermediate English

Over 18 years old

Welcomes solo volunteers, couples, and partners of volunteers

Program Details

At the moment the hostel is in high season and so we have a high number of check ins and check outs. We are looking for someone who likes cleaning, and loves meeting new people, but if you're into painting and decorating you could help us with that too!

Activities & Shift

Volunteers need to be able to work for 4 hours a day, 5 days per week. Rotas will change every week and so you can enjoy the occasional weekend off sometimes.
We can accommodate remote workers.
