Volunteering at the hostel was my first time working with worldpackers and definitely not the last:) Even though I had some complications at the beginning the team and the manager helped me resolve everything. The work was pretty easy if everyone did their part and the manager Tara was always there to help us out if we were confused or needed help. On the social part, it is so easy to make friends (terrace, bar) and I already miss them even though I've been gone for three days now. I would really recommend this experience, I am just warning you that you won't want to leave.

I recommed this place 100%! I was part of the (best) apartments team, the schedule never changes, so it is easy to make plans, sometimes it is even possible to finish work early. The manager Julieta is super sweet, caring and patient, and trains you for the tasks well. All communication regarding the work is in Spanish, so I recommend knowing at least some, but it is an ideal environment if you want to improve. The living conditions in the hostel were also good. There are 11 volunteers, so there is always someone around and do stuff with! I am super grateful and thankful for the experience!

Volunteering at the hostel was an amazing experience! The team was super welcoming and made me feel at home from day one. The tasks were well-organized and easy to manage, leaving plenty of time to explore the island and connect with other volunteers and guests. The atmosphere at the hostel is warm, fun, and full of great energy. I'm grateful for the opportunity to meet incredible people and create unforgettable memories. Thank you for everything!

The work is easy to learn, manageable, and from arrival you start to feel right at home. There were a lot of things that could've been handled better, or simply the owners having more presence in their business. ALL the managers are amazing, genuine, kind, and work a lot harder than they're paid for. Im forever grateful for them. If you have any questions reach out to me! Thanks for everything the hostel 🫶🏽

I had a great time volunteering at the hostel. The exchange was fair and flexible, and there was opportunities to request time off. The work for housekeeping included standard cleaning, reception and laundry tasks. The location was great, a short walk from the main city center, and the hostel terrace provided a nice place to relax.

I had an amazing time at the hostel! Primarily because of the other volunteers who soon became like a family to me and our manager who was very welcoming, responsible and flexible with shifts. The social volunteer on the hostel who does social events for guests and volunteers makes it so easy to stay social and active even though you're not a big planner. The only downside with this place is the hostel itself. Ex: The laundry machine didn't clean the sheets (new one was installed right after I left!) and cockroaches in the kitchen (got used to them). But overall: would I go again? Absolutely!

I recomend this exchange if you're looking to explore the island and get to know some amazing people from around the world. The volunteers definitely made the experience for me, and there's a lot to do in your free time. The work around the hostel is not very hard and the managers are kind and flexible. But, the facilities could be updated and the cleanliness of the hostel depends on how hard the volunteers work. I do think that they should either require only 20 hours, or give volunteers another benefit to make it worth it. Note: I was at the partner hostel, Jungle House, not the hostel.

Instead of staying at the hostel, I stayed in another hostel owned by the same person — Jungle House — but that wasn't an issue for me. I truly enjoyed every minute of being there. I made so many good friends among the other volunteers, and we shared lots of great memories together. Our manager, Pascual, was the nicest manager you could wish for — working with him was fun. The only downside was that when I was there, there weren't many volunteers, so we had to work most of our shifts alone. It wasn't really a problem, since the work isn't that hard, but at times it could feel a bit lonely.

My first volunteer experience, and it couldn't have gone better. What made it magical were the many people I met who made me feel at home. The two managers I met, Carlos and Alessia, did everything they could to make me feel comfortable and always put the volunteers' well-being first. The location of the facility, in the heart of the historic district and very close to the bus station. On a negative note, the various inconveniences in the facility were completely ignored by the owners. Above all, I truly recommend this experience to everyone ❤️

The social host role was great! The hours were reasonable & I had a lot of flexibility in the role, it was an amazing way to meet people. Good location & close to public transport. The other volunteers were truly family & welcomed me in with open arms- they MADE my time there incredible. As for the hostels facilities I was disappointed. It's not in liveable conditions & needs some €€ put into it. From cockroaches through the kitchen, no fan in the volunteer room, no working lock on the dorm door, broken washing machine,to 1 bowl/4forks… the experience was great but the hostel needs some TLC
