The manager and the other volunteers were kind and respectful. Skopje is an interesting city to explore. The overall experience was not as expected. Nothing is offered other than a bed and laundry. All activities are not offered, the manager said something could be arranged if needed. There is no breakfast, in stead they offer a daily allowance when asked, but I did not recieve this in full. The hours are good, but there was a lot of confusion around shifts. The training is not thorough enough. But this could easily be improved upon, and if it is I think this could be a very good experience!

I love the hostel! the team was good and they respect the working hours. the hostel is really confortable, small and we'll located. I learn a lot of the housekeeping.

but if you know that always we start from 11 am until 2.30 pm
but sometimes you finished everything at 1 pm, so sometimes we ask for a little of help in the evenings.... but you right.

My experience at the hostel was fantastic, I met a lot of interesting people, the work was not difficult and the host was nice and welcoming. I highly recommend getting an experience in this hostel!

I loved volunteering in the hostel. I had an enjoyable time here, great team, working hours are not though at all and you have time to explore the city. The hostel is comfortable and you will meet great people who you can get along with. Thank you for this lovely time!

Overall this hostel was a weird experience. There were no discounts available, no meals were provided and no language classes. No one at the hostel spoke Macedonian. The hostel had a really bad bed bug problem and it made it unpleasant to sleep. The tasks were fairly doable. However for reception we were never assigned shifts so it would just be constant. The owner of the hostel never formerly introduced himself to me. I also never got a white slip confirming my reforestation with the police. I told my manger that a guest kept hitting on me after I turned down his advances and did nothing.

I had so much fun with this experience! The hostel was so cozy and I met so many new people from all around the world. I definitely would recommend this experience to anyone who wants to be part of a team and a community. This was my first time in Europe and it was nice to have a "home" to be in everyday. The only thing I would say that could be improved is that the application said there would be a lot of amenities, such as, discounts on restaurants, bars, free parties, and tours which was not quite accurate. My experience was awesome, the hostel is very cool, well located and with a good atmosphere. The work is not too hard, just a few hours per day, I had a lot of free time to enjoy the city and the region. Thanks a lot the hostel

It was my first experience as a volunteer and I can resume in one word “Perfect“. The hostel was totally full of good energy, people, kindness, fun and amazing food for breakfast. It was more than I could expect. I totally recommend this experience because the owners showed that they want to improve and give a good experience to the volunteers. I had the opportunity to be in contact with people from all over the world and some of them will stay in my heart for good as the hostel. ❤️
