This was my first time volunteering and traveling solo, and it was an amazing experience! Everyone was so friendly and we really immersed ourselves in the local culture! I loved Valladolid, I love the hostel, the team, and Willo! A huge thanks to Willo, a sunny and funny guy (and good buritos cooker!). I'll definitely be back! 💃

This is a perfect place where you'll feel looked after from the moment you arrive. Jorge will make you laugh, cook you delicious food and let you take over the music when jazz funk becomes too much…Willo is very friendly and a true expert on Valladolid - he is always ready with suggestions and tips for you! If you want to practice Spanish, this is definitely the right place. I loved having responsibility and Willo is super flexible with any ideas for the hostel. the hostel is relaxing, cosy and welcoming; it was also great to get know regulars and friends who are always coming and going.

I loved the hostel - I felt at home here and met wonderful people including travelers and other volunteers. The work can be easy or hard at times. Wilo is a great manager and I really appreciate him for being understanding when I changed my plans. Valladolid is a beautiful, great place to visit - I experienced lots of great things including cenotes, Mayan ruins, local art, and trying local food (tacos, paletas, tons of fruit, etc) - it's a great place to learn about the local culture, centrally located and also a super safe area. I'm grateful for this experience and I would do it again.

I really enjoyed spending time here. Thanks again to Willo for its unconditional welcome. It was a pleasure to share my days with other volunteers and travellers. Valladolid is a really peaceful city where you feel at home. I thoroughly recommend the experience.

My experience overall was fun and everything was as agreed on. I got to meet a lot of people and visited lots of places. There are many things to see around Valladolid and you'll learn about Mayan culture. There are hostel can be a little quiet sometimes but at the same time it's the perfect place to relax. Also the host recommended me lots of things to do which was nice.

Will was very nice and made us feel at home. The hostel is currently being renovated, so we helped him with that. We always had time to visit Valladolin and nearby towns even during a working day. I recommend 👌

Willo was very helpful and working with him was a pleasure. There was not a lot of work as we were there during low season so we helped with renovation a little. We still had a lot of time to explore Valladolid and near cenotes. We were both as a couple working in evenings so in the mornings we were enjoying the city. We could use bikes and scooters free of charge. Unfortunately there was no laundry machine in the hostel during our stay. You can see that Willo is putting whole his heart for hostel to be nice place and also to spend some time and get to know volunteers.

I absolutely loved volunteering at the hostel. From the first day me and my best friend felt at home. We were volunteering in the low season and there were not a lot of guest but we helped with renovating the hostel and had lots of fun painting. Wilo, the owner is incredibily nice and always checked in to see how we were doing. As a volunteer you will get free pancakes for breakfast every morning (if you want to), also it was never a problem to take a bike or scooter to go explore the beautiful Valladolid, which was very nice. I would definitely recommend volunteering here.

The hostal definitely felt like our home away from home. The vibe is as if you're in the house of your best friend. Although it was low-season, we had a great experience working reception and help with the renovations. The host, Wilo, is incredibly welcoming and kind. He takes time to get to know you and to learn from you. Irini and I volunteered together, and although we worked different shifts, we had enough time to explore Valladolid and its surroundings. Wilo had great recommendations for the city as well. We had a great time in this casa!
