Very good experience since most of the volunteers and staff speak Spanish, that made me feel very comfortable, even so you do not miss the opportunity to improve your English, the tasks were simple and the schedule was respected, I spent holidays and the experience was even better with the Christmas dinner that Lilian organized for us. The hostel is located in the center which facilitates everything to get to know the hostel once you finish your day.

I had an incredible experience volunteering at the hostel! This was my first time doing a volunteer program, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to start. The staff and other volunteers are welcoming, kind-hearted, and incredibly funny. From the very first day, I felt like part of a community. The work was well-organized and the hostel is clean, comfortable, and located in the centre of the hostel in a dynamic area. Whether it was sharing meals, working together, or enjoying fun activities, every moment was memorable.

Great location and amazing support from Mili, the volunteer coordinator. She truly cares and was incredibly helpful during my stay. However, the hostel relies heavily on unpaid volunteers for core tasks, with only three paid staff members managing operations. Living conditions are very basic (10 beds in one room), so your experience depends a lot on who you share with. I had fun and learned a lot, but I can't fully endorse the volunteer structure.

My stay at the hostel was pleasant and fun. It's easy to connect with other volunteers from around the world (especially from South America) and create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The location is excellent, right in the hostel center! Shifts are well organized and there's great flexibility. One small note: the training and communication with the managers have some minor gaps, which can sometimes leave you unprepared when handling certain situations. But overall, a great experience!

Unstable experience and hierarchical treatment, not recommended From the beginning, I noticed instability: one volunteer was asked to leave early, and later two others were asked to leave with just 48 hours' notice and no chance to talk. Tasks were demanding, even when I felt sick I was told to continue. Before leaving, they hint they'll rate you well if you do the same. I felt a lack of empathy and communication. The treatment was hierarchical and distant. This experience does not reflect Worldpackers' values. I recommend reviewing carefully before applying.

My experience at the hostel was really positive! I found great, nice and welcoming people that will leave me something for sure, so I'm really grateful for that! The work is easy and the hours are carefully respected. The food also is enough for everyone. Aarhus is a beautiful, cozy the hostel :) Maybe sometimes there were weird vibes with some part of the staff, but it didn't really influence much my stay.

The hostel is in a great, central location, they provide lots of groceries for the volunteers every week, and the hours and work are as expected. Mily is also very responsive and friendly. But the hostel itself feels more like a hotel. There is no night-shift reception worker. So, when guests had issues at night, it fell on the volunteers to figure it out, even if we weren't on shift. It was hard to connect with other volunteers as many of them spoke predominantly spanish, and there was only one planned activity for us. Overall, they seem to be working to improve the expirence for volunteers.

I had a great time at the hostel! I was quite happy because I was looking for a chill esperience and a quiet atmosphere so it was definitely what I got. I would say that if you're looking for something more social or dynamic this might not be what you're looking for. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and the people I met and worked with!

Overall, I enjoyed my time at the hostel. Much can be improved in welcoming volunteers, creating a more collaborative environment and being more present. My advice would be to regularly hold meetings with volunteers. The owners were not involved at all in welcoming volounteers, and are not always nice towards workers; Magali, head of housekeeping, is amazing and understands the limits of volunteer work; Guido and Emilia are fantastic and always respectful; even though some situations were not dealt with in the best way, Mily and Sine, who manage volounteers, seemed to be open to advice.
