The staff and the other volunteers were really nice and welcoming with me. I can tell I could make real connections in there. They were respectful and kind with the volunteers. The food provided was more than enough and they would ask for the supermarket list every week. I had fun in the hostel, although I truly expected to be more in touch with the guests with activities provided by the hostel. The facilities are really great and I really think the volunteers could be more involved in entertainment activities for the guests, not only cleaning and housekeeping. Overall I had a great time!!

The hostel is a nice and comfortable place to stay. The work is not hard, and you have lots of time to travel and enjoy. It is honestly a good place to stay if you plan to learn some spanish, staff and volunteers are mainly from spanish speaking countries. But of course there are some danes as well, which is nice to integrate to the local communities. Staying in Aarhus is a good option if you want to explore Denmark more deeply. You are able to travel as much as you want through all the area of Jutlandia.

This was a great first volunteering experience! The hostel is in a great location, the staff is kind, the work is overall consistent and you still get to learn new things. You don't get to meet many locals while in the hostel, but it is surrounded by restaurants, bars, and more to go and meet people. I found a family here and continue to keep up with friends I made in the hostel and in the hostel. I enjoyed cooking with others with the groceries provided about every week and anything else you need to buy is most likely at a store in close walking distance. Overall missing this place and people!

Volunteering at the hostel was an enriching experience in many ways. The place is comfortable, the staff is very friendly and they are always there to help you if you need it. Thanks Dan Hostel! I would like to add that the hostel is very well located and always warm (in winter it helps a lot) and the hostel is beautiful!

Very good experience since most of the volunteers and staff speak Spanish, that made me feel very comfortable, even so you do not miss the opportunity to improve your English, the tasks were simple and the schedule was respected, I spent holidays and the experience was even better with the Christmas dinner that Lilian organized for us. The hostel is located in the center which facilitates everything to get to know the hostel once you finish your day.

I had an incredible experience volunteering at the hostel! This was my first time doing a volunteer program, and I couldn't have chosen a better place to start. The staff and other volunteers are welcoming, kind-hearted, and incredibly funny. From the very first day, I felt like part of a community. The work was well-organized and the hostel is clean, comfortable, and located in the centre of the hostel in a dynamic area. Whether it was sharing meals, working together, or enjoying fun activities, every moment was memorable.

The overall experience has been good. It would be necessary to educate the volunteers about coexistence with other volunteers and general care as well as food maintenance, as this is important. There are people who don't know how to live with others and that can be a problem. On the positive side, it's a volunteer placement where you have all the meals available, you save money on that, you can go cycling and see how beautiful the hostel is... If you want to improve your English you have to be lucky if you don't meet Spanish speakers, although the Argentinians are a lot of fun.

It was an overall good experience. Mili, the volunteer coordinator, was very helpful and always took consideration of what the volunteers needed. The infrastructure of the hostel was alright but while I enjoyed most of my time there, we were way too many volunteers sharing only one room and there weren't proper spaces to store our luggages or having a tidy and organised room, it was a cramped space. On the other hand, the volunteers got basic food and enough to cook for ourselves. I wished there were more activities for the volunteers but overall it was a good experience.

Great location and amazing support from Mili, the volunteer coordinator. She truly cares and was incredibly helpful during my stay. However, the hostel relies heavily on unpaid volunteers for core tasks, with only three paid staff members managing operations. Living conditions are very basic (10 beds in one room), so your experience depends a lot on who you share with. I had fun and learned a lot, but I can't fully endorse the volunteer structure.

My stay at the hostel was pleasant and fun. It's easy to connect with other volunteers from around the world (especially from South America) and create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. The location is excellent, right in the hostel center! Shifts are well organized and there's great flexibility. One small note: the training and communication with the managers have some minor gaps, which can sometimes leave you unprepared when handling certain situations. But overall, a great experience!
