The experience

Hello :) We are searching for some volunteers who would like to come and help in Sicily! Our hostel is located in beautiful Taormina/Giardini-Naxos, Sicily, 300 meters from the sea and on the foot of Mt. Etna. Some of your responsibilities include: welcoming guests on arrival, checking guests into and out of the hostel, taking payments, a bit of cleaning and of course have fun! What you offer

30 hours of help per week

Reception: Help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Administration: Help with booking systems and payments.

What you get

1 day off per week

Team Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other people.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Discounts on Tours: Get discounts for tours and excursions around town.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Free Tours: We’ll take you on tours and rides around town. For free!

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Requirements

Intermediate English

Between 20 and 35 years old

Only hosts solo volunteers (doesn’t accept couples or partners)

Be from outside Italy

Program Details

The day is divided into three shifts of five hours each: morning, afternoon, evening. The volunteers will do one of these shifts which will be communicated to them through a schedule. They will have one day off per week.

Activities & Shift

All you have to do is welcoming guests, dealing with new reservations, taking payments, cleaning the common areas and answering questions about our area. In exchange for your help we offer accomodation and food, wi-fi, kitchen facilities, laundry, linens and towels, all the hostel services, some free tours and free time to enjoy Sicily.

Rules

Volunteers just need to mantain a good atmosphere in the hostel, be polite and keep the envoironment they live in clean.
