It was an incredible experience. From day one, the team made me feel like part of the family. The hostel has a vibrant, inclusive atmosphere that makes it special for both guests and staff. As a volunteer, I engaged with guests from all over the world, contributed to daily operations, and participated in events organized by the hostel. The work environment was supportive and fun, with a good balance between responsibilities and free time to explore Lecce. What made this experience truly memorable was the sense of community. The connections I made with both the team and the guests were genuine

For my first Worldpackers experience I don't think I could have asked for anything better. The strong sense of community, and close knit groups of volunteers, employees, and guests made my time in Lecce one I will never forget, and one where I have made many friends for life.

The hostel was the best hostel I could have chosen for my first time volunteering through worldpackers. It is super clean and friendly, and the work hours are not too demanding. Alessio and Maria are very helpful and flexible with any of your specific needs. Lecce was a very cool place as well. There are an endless amount of beautiful beaches nearby. However, if you are looking for a place with a super fun nightlife and clubs, Lecce is not the place for you. The city center has a lot of calm, relaxing bars where you can get a drink and chat with friends. Overall, great experience!

I had a wonderful month in Lecce. I liked the people here and we had many interesting and meaningful conversations with guests and volunteers. Seriously, Lecce is a lovely part of Italy. However, Lecce is a city without parties and nightlife. If you're an avid party-goer, maybe you'll be disappointed.

I had a good time at the hostel. The staff is super nice, the amount of work is fair, and Antonio cooks amazing local food ;) The region of Salento is nice and has one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. You should be aware of the fact that the close region doesn't have a ton of activities apart from visiting small towns, nature and beaches, especially during off-season. Lecce is a nice little city, but lacks a real nightlife for example. If you keep that in mind and are fine with it, you'll have an amazing time. The hostel itself did everything right, and I would recommend it!

It was overall a really good experience to stay at the hostel. Lecce as a city is quite quiet, so you need to be good at managing your own time, but at night the hostel is usually very much alive with a combination of the other volunteers, the other staff and so many different travellers. This stay will forever have a special place in my heart.

One of the most intense and meaningful experiences of my life. I was able to learn a lot by living with new people and seeing new places. The work is not demanding, the hostel structure is great and the permanent employees are wonderful. A special hug to Maria and Antonio, people who bring the hostel to life and made my experience incredible and full of memories. Thank you, the hostel Colective Hostel!

I loved this experience!! We all cooked a lot together learned about local holidays and went to all the beaches around. The work wasn't too hard or challenging and the team feeling was very strong. We really felt like a small family.

What first impresses about the hostel is the building in which the hostel is located: even if a bit far from the center is made with local white stones and super spacious rooms. The volunteer room is super comfortable and the team is super clear about the tasks to be done. I recommend that future travelers come between June and August where more young travelers arrive so they don't get bored and can socialise and that they consider that most of the best beaches in Puglia are only accessible by car. Thanks Alessio for the good leadership and Antonio for being the soul of the place.

I had a great time at the hostel! This was my first volunteering experience and I stayed for 1 month. The work is easy and you have a lot of free time to explore Puglia. The hostel is very modern and clean with lots of space to chill out. It's also a great way to learn some Italian, Spanish or English. Alessio, Antonio, and Maria are so welcoming and you really become a little family with the other volunteers. I would definitely recommend to stay during the summer months if you can. Overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to visit again in the future!
