Cloudberry was my first volunteering experience, and I only have good memories of it. Sam and Léo are two incredible people who make you feel very comfortable and who want to share a lot of things with the volunteers. The work is quite simple, if you are hesitant to choose Cloudberry don't hesitate anymore it is by far one of the best experiences of my life and I can never thank them enough for that.

This was my very first volunteering experience and I'm so thankful i did it with cloudberry!! Everybody was nice and welcoming from the beginning and I never felt uncomfortable in the slightest. The work is easy and rewarding! I would definitely recommend this volunteering opportunity at the cloudberry farm if you're thinking about it!!

Cloudberry is one of the best places I've volunteered, I've been there twice, I like the variety of activities, farming, strawberry classes and activities with the kids and families. Every week (usually on Saturdays) they take us to dinner somewhere, it's a great time together, being with the other volunteers is a lot of fun and I made great memories. Busan is very close so you can go there on your day off. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Thank you so much Sam and Leo

I had a great time at cloudberry, Sam and Leo are great hosts! They go out of their way to give you the best stay possible. As the strawberry season started the work was mainly farming in the greenhouse were the strawberries are and the activities with the kids and families. At lunch, there was also home-cooked food provided by the mom, it was really tasty! I definitely recommend this place when you're looking for a friendly and welcoming place for a new experience.

It was a nightmare! Sam(who coordinates the volunteers) is an stressed man always running and preparing everything at last minute so you are going to be in a rush and he will push to do things wrong and quick!The kids don't speak english and the company don't promote to teach them so this volunteer project is to work as a Sam's slave.The accommodation is awful, dirty, ugly and very disgusting(there's risk to get any infection due to the dirt. Forget heating and hot water in the shower(just warm water). The main problem is Sam, how he manages everything and how he treat you. Don't go there!

Thank you for your review. all the previous review about cloudberry will tell other volunteers.

First, kids coming to here they are from daycare center students. we are providing Eco friendly Farm program. basically their English Level is not high. because they never attended english academy. I wanted to impove their english. probably our volunteers are having difficult time to communite with them. but students are all appriciated our program and volunteers helping . that's why cloudberry exist.

and we are located in farmfield countryside. house facilities are most concerned thing to take care . definitely as time goes by we will imporve our facilities for more comfortable place as much as we can . still we have a good system one room for 2 people staying and we have community room and heater and nighttime heating system and we can also use hot water as well.and morning breakfast provide and lunch korean meal is providing to volunteer. and dinner we provide the kitchen space and some cooking materials. sorry for not having cleaner for building. even if we have weekly cleaning day and we do cleaning . but about 10 people are living together. so we need to clean more frequently together.

The reason Sam is busy is I am trying to organize for your better farm life. at least one time per week daytrip to busan or other famouse place in gyungnam province. and at least more than one time per week I try to provide dinner time outside of farm or insidea as a farmparty.
if I don't care about all this activities I can do very easy way managing like I can give them schedule on time and tell them to work and check. but I wouldn't want to do that . as long as you come to our farm we are all same family and I should take care about your korean life too. but you just joined our daytrip program only one or two times and you are busy for joining free fitness clubs in gimhea day by day differently and you did complain them too. and you are also too busy and didn't focus on our social farm project. and you are having many troubles with other volunteers too. I hope you understand that volunteering place will not be comfortable as much as your home .

I am sorry I have never wrote like this but this time I should inform to others how we are doing and what you have done .
not to get misunderstanding the others.

Im really glad to have this volunteering opportunity for my first time cause Sam is always looking to bring the team to local places and events so you can be assured to have fun while working a few hours for him! He's also, specially the mama, providing daily Korean food and it's really delicious! Sometimes it can happens to work more hours a day than expected but it's not a big deal cause he makes sure to respect your weekly days off. I was certainly confused at the beginning but then get used to and learnt how to cherish this experience. Thank you Sam for everything and take care!

The atmosphere for me was too friendly, with many unnecessary conversations day and night, alcohol and good leisure. There were 11 volunteers at the peak and therefore there was always vanity in the hostel. They worked on strawberries and prepared pizza with children. For girls, working with strawberries is a difficult lesson. Sam is a great man. He is always calm and ready to help. But as the owner of the farm and the organizer of the events, he has where to grow. I cannot recommend this place for you if you value silence, discipline and daily routine.

It was a nice experience. The host didn't communicate well during work, which made the work a little more annoying than necessary, but overall it was fun. He would go sightseeing with us almost every Saturday and generally put in a lot of effort. So overall I can really recommend this place.

Sam and Leo were so amazing hosts! They truly thought about how to better the volunteer's experience all the time. For instance, Sam overheard that we enjoyed hiking and then took the volunteers on a hike later that week. The food is also amazing on the farm and I look forward to my meals. They are also healthy as well.
