The experience

Come and help with Housework, Animals. Live in my home and help clean, cook and walk the dogs. You may be asked to do additional jobs like wash the car or help chop wood. Mostly it is housework and Dog walking. We have three Dogs of different ages. Sometimes your 5 hours will be split between 3 or 4 short dog walks Throughout the day.

What you offer

25 hours of help per week

Cleaning: Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas.

Housekeeping: Help with changing the bed linens and general housekeeping.

Gardening: Help grow plants and cultivate gardens

What you get

2 days off per week

Shared Dorm: You will have a bed in a shared room, which means you will share the same room with other travelers.

Breakfast: You are entitled to a free breakfast, every day of your stay.

Lunch: You are entitled to a free lunch, every day of your stay.

Dinner: You are entitled to a free dinner, every day of your stay.

Free Laundry: You can use our laundry room freely.

Pick Up: We will pick you up when you arrive, and take you to our property.

Language lessons: Take free language classes at our place.

Use our equipped kitchen: Feel free to use our kitchen and make your own delicious food.

Fast Internet Access: High-speed internet for you to work remotely

Flights, Travel Insurance, Internal Transportation and Visa

Program Details

We expect you to travel to our nearest village named Taynuilt. You can get there by bus or train from Glasgow. From there we will collect you by car for the rest of the journey to Dalavich (14miles into the wilderness).

Activities & Shift

5 hours per day, 5 days per week with 2 days off. Sometime the 5 hours are split across the day.

Rules

We do not supply alcohol, tobacco or toiletries. Some times there are a lot of toiletries lying around from departed guests. This is a smoking household but we only smoke in the kitchen. No smoking in the bedroom. Please let us know about any dietary restrictions or preferences in advance.
