To be honest, I don't have words to describe how nice it was! The work is fair, you will work together with the other volunteer and there is always someone ready to help you! The time schedule was always respected, so don't worry about this! Jean Valere, the volunteer responsible, is always there if you need something and is one of the kindest people you will ever meet! The food is very good, accommodation the same (it is very central). To be honest, for the work that you have to do and what you receive in exchange, I think it is one of the best opportunities! Hope you will enjoy!!

My experience at the hostel was great !!! Not only the Assumptionist community but also Maude was super welcoming and helped me feel comfortable and happy during my stay. I had a lot of fun working at breakfast with the students, which I already miss, living in the hostel and exploring Paris during my free time. The workload is super manageable and you have plenty of time to yourself. Overall, I met a lot of kind and funny people at the hostel, had great meals and memories that will last for a long long time. I can only recommend volunteering at the hostel :)

It is an incredible experience, the people are very friendly and make you feel at home. this work is OK, The key is to always give your best to receive the same from others (customers) the place is more than perfect, the location is key to living an experience like that of "Emily in Paris" They were really very patient with me, because my French was often not the best, but they always corrected me and taught me in the best way. Merciiiii❤️ the best month

This experience was all and more than I hoped for! I would recommend it to anyone who wants to explore Paris, experience life with the Assumptionist Community or who wants to learn French! Above all the people are amazing, kind, and helpful, I made friends for life! The work is reasonable and not demanding, leaving more than enough time to discover the city, its impressive historical places, and its quaint little streets with charming cafes. The hostel is located in the heart of Paris, in the beautiful and chic 8th arrondissement with the Eiffel Tower just a leisurely walk away.

I am very grateful for this experience! I had a great time with the hostel's religious community and they made me feel very welcome. The work can be a little tiring sometimes, but it was all worth it. The location of the hostel is great and you can easily get around Paris during your free time. I hope to come back one day and wish the community all the best <3

It was my first time volunteering and I couldn't have started this experience in a better place! Everyone from the community and the hostel staff was so nice and made me feel comfortable from day one. The food was delicious and varied and the work was not complicated. I could visit my places in Paris during my free time and practice French every day, which were my goals for this volunteering. So, I definitely recommend this experience, I'm sure I will never forget the wonderful time I spent in the hostel!

It was a very good experience, specially to practice my French as it was usually the main language used at the hostel. Althought, if you speak only English, people will also be able to communicate with you. Everybody is kind and friendly. The work is not so demanding, but the fact you work 6 days a week sometimes can be tiring. If you're vegetarian like me, your option during the meals will be quite limited, but I still enjoyed it because it was when we got all together (me, the other volunteer and the rest of the religious community). Overall, I had a lot of fun!

Community life is an absolute gem. The Assumptionists welcomed me at their table every lunch and dinner. Meals were happy, funny, delicious, and educational. Everyone is a brilliant French teacher among many other subjects. They're as friendly and interesting a group as I could have ever asked for. The work is reasonable and straightforward (and includes a nice breakfast). No complaints at all. One last thing: don't come here with dreams of pubcrawls and sangrias and happy hours. Get that out of your system and come back a few years later with a book. Thanks again to everyone!

It was an enriching experience, especially cultural. The job is easy and I had a lot of time to enjoy the city, which, given the location of the hostel, makes it easier. During the experience you are truly integrated into the community and participate in several special moments. Certainly a lifetime experience. Everyone in the community is kind and always attentive to good interaction and integration among all.

It was an excellent experience, I recommend it, living with the people of the Hostel and the community is great, the work is not complicated and you can get to know the beautiful city of Paris. I recommend you have basic knowledge of French that will improve your experience.
