I loved my stay here. I met the most incredible people from so many different places. Everyone was so welcoming and kind. The owners are so friendly and genuinely care about the volunteers. You only get one day off a week but you also only work like 2 hours usually. The work is relatively easy and they give options on what to do. Wollongong is actually amazing, the views, the ocean, the lighthouses, the coffee, everything is honestly a dream.

I am very thankful for my stay at the Hostel. I never had such a great time. The work is easy. There are 3 shifts: 7am to 9am: Cleaning on your own before everyone weaks up 10am to 12am: (the shift everyone has most of the time) Girls: Cleaning the hostel, Boys: wiping and cleaning the garden 10am to 10pm: work 10am to 12am and having a look for the hygiene of the hostel until 10pm. ( you don't have to stay the hole day in the hostel) I met so many wonderful people. Thank you very much!

I stayed at Keiraleigh the hostelduring the off season and had an amazing time! Nathan and Kerrie were incredibly supportive hosts who held daily briefings so all the staff were across the tasks and expectations. They were very accommodating with any day off requests and we were treated to a great family style meal once a month. The hostel is Bali inspired and very relaxed, there are several long term residents who live at the hostel and we had an incredibly team of volunteers during my time there. I would definitely recommend Keiraleigh as a base to meet new people and experience Australia!

Wow! I am home now and missing the hostel's the hostelso much. Kerri and Nathen might be the two most wholesome, caring, loving hosts you will ever meet and they make the hostel feel so warm at all times. I could work hard in the morning and then have the opportunity to have the rest of the day to explore parts of Australia however I like. Being able to work hard together to keep their Boho style hostel clean and safe as well as being a family, makes me recommend everyone to book the volunteer experience, especially at a warmhearted place like this.

Anika it was an absolute joy to have you volunteer at Keiraleagh House. Anika is a lovely person, calm, considerate, proactive and very sociable. Always on hand proactively helping where ever was needed and trying to ensure that I was fully supported at all times. She also got on extremely well with the other volunteer. An asset to anyone looking to employ someone responsible, trustworthy and proactive. I wish her the very best always! Thank you, for being such a valuable part of our community!

First time Worldpacking and I would highly recommend coming to volunteer! The work was easy and could be finished before lunchtime, so it was easy to pick up another job on the side. Despite coming during winter, there was always something exciting happening and the atmosphere was energetic and fun. There was a great sense of community at the hostel, everyone was so welcoming and we looked out for each other. Great location as it is only 1.5 hour train ride from Sydney and the airport, 10 minute walk from the beach, and right next to Wollongong CBD and night life. Thank you Kerrie and Nathan!

The hostel is super cosy and welcoming, even during the peak of winter there were plenty of things to do, surf, pool table, excursions, bars etc. The work is chill and Kerry is a lovely host. Dorms might be a little cramped but the atmosphere and people there more than make up for it. Espresso machine and 24h kitchen access was a huge plus. Definitely worth a stop over if you're on the east coast or looking for a long term stay to work and save up.

The best place to volunteer. It is only two hours a day of work so it is the perfect time to get to know the surroundings or even look for a compatible job. Kerrie is very kind and concerned about the volunteers, you can really feel the love of home. The team is very fun and they always welcome new ones. The common areas are perfect to share with people from all over the world. Thank you Kerrie we will miss you.
