Family run hostel, laid back, very minimal hours, easy work. It's pretty basic, 2-3 hrs for free stay. You dont get much else, but can socialize with guests. My personal experience was good, the vibe of the place depends on the sort of people staying at any given time as with any hostel. That said, the atmosphere was a bit different since there were quite a few older people living there long term, not for accomodation but to live. Management could be better, wired hierachcy, bit of poor communication between helpers and homeowners. They need a better system for work that needs done each day.

The hostelit's a paradise in the city center of Wollongong. It was my first woldpackers experience and It has been amazing! Carl, Kerrie and Nathan were always kind and helpful looking for the wellness and safety of their guests. This hostel has a familiar atmosphere, the work is easy to do and well organized, Cathy is the best. The city has a lot to offer, it's very well situated with good public transport, you won't get bored if you have the energy to explore Thank you so much for the experience and your caring. I completely recommend it!

It was my first time volunteering in a hostel and I definitively could not choose a better one. I left wanting to return the next day. Since I arrived they made it clear that it is not only about the work and treating the guests well, it is a family, it is about respect, listening and having a good time. Everything in the hostel is magical. I will not give details so that you can experience it for yourself. The work is not hard and they explain or help you with everything. The family and he staff are a great team. They are absolutely the best! GRACIAS Kerrie, Karl and Nathan :)

I loved to stay in this family hostel. It's small to be an important part of it but big enough to have always someone to drink or hang out. Reeeeeaally easy going work in a relax environment. The owners are excellent people. I will back, of course.

Excelente primera experiencia como voluntariado, no pude haber elegido mejor! Desde el momento que ingrese al hostel me sentí como en casa. Los dueños son buenísimos! Son súper flexibles con las horas de trabajo, y las tareas son sencillas. Lo súper recomiendo.
